Casey Crosby: Released by Dodgers
Crosby was let go by the Dodgers on Wednesday.
Crosby hooked on with the Dodgers in December but never received the opportunity to pitch in a game for the organization. The 31-year-old played independent ball last season and last pitched in the majors in 2012, when he made three starts for Detroit.

Dodgers' Casey Crosby: Signs minor-league contract
Crosby signed a minor-league contract with the Dodgers that includes an invitation to spring training, J.P. Hoornstra of the Los Angeles Daily News reports.
The 31-year-old last played in the minors in 2018, when he amassed a 2.95 ERA with a 25:23 K:BB over 21.1 innings across rookie ball, Double-A and Triple-A. Crosby spent last season playing independent baseball and performed well by posting a 1.74 ERA with a 1.26 WHIP over 46.2 innings. The southpaw will get a chance to develop in spring training, but it would be surprising to see him play a role in the majors in 2020.

Twins' Casey Crosby: Brought off 7-day DL
Crosby (hamstring) was activated from Triple-A Rochester's 7-day disabled list Sunday, Seth Stohs of TwinsDaily.com reports.
Now that he has officially been activated, the 29-year-old is expected to make a relief appearance for Rochester in the near future, which will mark his first affiliated-ball action in almost four years. A former top prospect in the Tigers organization, Crosby reached the big leagues in 2012 but battled health woes the following two seasons before being released by Detroit in August 2014. After taking extended time off from baseball to be with his family and pursue an accounting degree, Crosby decided to revive his career last October, when he signed a minor-league deal with the Twins. It's unclear what Crosby still has left in the tank following multiple years away from the game, but the lefty's strong pedigree makes him a worthwhile low-stakes gamble for Minnesota.
