  • Tim Dillard: Announces retirement

Dillard announced his retirement via his personal Twitter feed Wednesday. Dillard was released by the Rangers at the end of February after signing a minor-league contract during the offseason, and he'll elect to hang up his cleats instead of searching for another deal. The 37-year-old mainly pitched in the minors during his career but spent four seasons in the majors with the Brewers between 2008 and 2012. During that time, the right-hander posted a 4.70 ERA, 1.47 WHIP and 62:29 K:BB over 73 relief appearances.

  • Tim Dillard: Cut loose by Texas

The Rangers released Dillard on Thursday. After inking a minor-league deal with Texas over the winter, Dillard was expected to serve as a swingman at Triple-A Round Rock this season. The organization apparently had a change of heart, however, and Dillard will now hit the open market. Set to turn 38 years old in July, Dillard could opt for retirement if he doesn't find an offer to his liking.

  • Rangers' Tim Dillard: Returns to Rangers

Dillard signed another minor-league contract with the Rangers on Monday. Dillard will be heading into his third year as a member of the Rangers' organization, though he's yet to represent them at the big-league level. The 37-year-old hasn't thrown a big-league pitch for any club since appearing for the Brewers back in 2012.

  • Rangers' Tim Dillard: Remains with Rangers

Dillard returned to the Rangers on a minor-league contract Monday. Dillard will receive an invitation to big-league camp as part of the deal. It's unlikely that he'll win an Opening Day roster spot, as he hasn't pitched in the majors since 2012.

  • Rangers' Tim Dillard: Moved to minors camp

Dillard was sent to minor-league camp Tuesday. Dillard was never likely to earn a major-league roster spot, as he's a 35-year-old who hasn't pitched in the big leagues since 2012. He'll fill an organizational depth role this season.

  • Rangers' Tim Dillard: Heads to Texas on minors deal

Dillard signed a minor-league contract with the Rangers on Monday that includes an invitation to spring training. Dillard had been with the Brewers since the team drafted him back in 2002, but hadn't thrown a pitch in the big leagues since 2012. His ERA at the Triple-A level has been over 5.00 in each of the last five seasons, reaching 7.36 last season, so it would be a surprise if the 35-year-old makes a major-league impact this season.

  • Brewers' Tim Dillard: Re-signed by Milwaukee

Dillard inked a minor-league deal with the Brewers on Tuesday. Dillard finished 2017 at Triple-A Colorado Springs, accruing a 5.17 ERA over 62.2 innings pitched. The 34-year-old right-hander has struggled in recent years, posting an ERA over 5.00 in each of his last three seasons. Fortunately for Dillard, the Milwaukee bullpen was inconsistent last season, meaning there's a chance he could get called up at some point during next year.

  • Brewers' Tim Dillard: Signs minor league deal with Brewers

Dillard signed a minor league deal with the Brewers on Monday. Probably better known for his comedic chops on viral videos than his ability to get hitters out, Dillard notched a 5.13 ERA and 53:17 K:BB in 47.1 innings at Triple-A Colorado Springs. He should offer organizational bullpen depth, likely returning to the Pacific Coast League at the outset of 2017.

  • Brewers' Tim Dillard: Gives up three earned runs over three innings

Dillard gave up three earned runs on four hits and three walks in Triple-A Colorado Springs' 7-1 loss to Nashville on Monday. He struck out two in the outing. Dillard only pitched one inning in spring training and gave up an earned run on three hits. He hasn't pitched in the majors since 2012 when he pitched 37 innings and compiled a 4.38 ERA and 1.595 WHIP. He's coming off a poor 2015 season at Triple-A Colorado Springs where he posted a 5.50 ERA over 54 innings but given his previous experience in the majors, he could be a popular name for a call up if the Brewers have a roster spot to fill.
