Report: Marlins/Dodgers discussing Gordon for Heaney swap

The Marlins and Dodgers are in "serious talks" about a deal involving Dee Gordon and Andrew Heaney, according to ESPN.

The 26-year-old Gordon hit .289/.326/.378 over 609 at-bats last season. Gordon is entering his first season of arbitration, and wouldn't become a free-agent until after the 2019 season. The 23-year-old Heaney got his first taste of the majors last year. He posted a 5.83 ERA over seven appearances. Heaney made five starts. It's possible other players are involved in the trade discussions.
