Pat's back.

Earlier today, the Blue Jays brought switch-pitcher Pat Venditte back to the majors in place of Arnold Leon. The last we heard from Venditte, he was breaking video games -- or, at least, making them alter their typical form to accommodate his oddness. Maybe it's time for lineup cards to change, too.

Take a look at tonight's Blue Jays card -- and spot where Venditte's name shows up:

Creative, right?

Of course, Venditte will probably settle for being anywhere on the lineup card after his rough debut. He made 26 appearances with the As last season, posting a 4.40 ERA and a sub-2 strikeout-to-walk ratio. He showed a wide platoon split that suggested he would be better off pitching as a left-handed specialist, but he's yet to make that switch. And why would he at this point? He struck out five of the six batters he faced during his time with the Jays' Triple-A affiliate.
