Cubs rookie phenom Jorge Soler has left the team for Miami for the birth of his first child. He will miss the weekend series in Pittsburgh and return Monday for the home series against Cincinnati.
Soler has hit safely in all but one game since his promotion and owns a stat line of .356/.367/.733. with four home runs and 14 RBI in 12 games.
