Marlins outfielder Giancarlo Stanton suffered a laceration on left side of his face, according to the team's official website. He is having X-rays and a CT scan performed at a local hospital in Milwaukee.
Stanton was drilled in the face by an 88 mph fastball from Mike Fiers. He was stretchered out of the field and taken to a local hospital for tests. The team will likely provide updates on his condition in the near future, as they will travel to Philadelphia to face the Phillies on Friday. It remains to be seen if Stanton will fly with the team.
