Jaden Schwartz LW | COL
Avalanche's Jaden Schwartz: Two goals in win Monday
Schwartz scored two goals on four shots in Monday's 5-2 win over the Blackhawks.
Schwartz found the back of the net in the first and second periods. The veteran winger has three goals and an assist over his last three appearances and has been playing well despite his middle-six role in the lineup. His recent production makes him an intriguing short-term fantasy option, although his offensive ceiling remains more limited than that of Colorado's top-line contributors.

Nazem Kadri C | COL
Avalanche's Nazem Kadri: Scores twice in comeback victory
Kadri scored two goals, including a power-play tally, on four shots in Monday's 5-2 win over the Blackhawks.
Kadri sparked Colorado's comeback with a first-period goal before redirecting Cale Makar's shot on the power play to give the Avalanche a 3-2 lead in the second. The veteran center has scored all four of his goals this season over his last five appearances, suggesting his offensive production is beginning to improve. His involvement on Colorado's second scoring line provides useful fantasy upside, particularly if his recent finishing form continues.

Trey Taylor D | DAL
Stars' Trey Taylor: Returning to Dallas
Taylor was recalled from AHL Texas on Tuesday.
In the lone AHL outing Taylor appeared in during his brief stint away from Dallas, he scored his first goal of the season. Across nine regular-season outings with Texas, the 24-year-old defenseman has posted a goal, four points and 21 shots on net. Now that he's back with the big club, he'll likely be a rotational blueliner in the absence of Kyle Capobianco (leg).

Yaroslav Askarov G | SJ
Sharks' Yaroslav Askarov: Stops 20 shots in Monday's loss
Askarov stopped 20 of 22 shots in Monday's 2-1 loss to the Flames.
Askarov kept San Jose in the game but couldn't prevent William Stromgren's third-period winner. The young netminder finished with a .909 save percentage, but it's hard to rely on him for sustained fantasy production -- he's alternated wins and losses over his last five appearances, and the Sharks have also dropped four of their last five games. His starting opportunities offer fantasy upside, but inconsistent offensive support and game-to-game performances remain a concern for his win potential.

Dustin Wolf G | CGY
Flames' Dustin Wolf: Makes 26 saves in road win
Wolf stopped 26 of 27 shots in Monday's 2-1 win over the Sharks.
Wolf delivered a strong performance, holding San Jose scoreless until Sam Dickinson struck late in the third period. With Devin Cooley sidelined by a lower-body injury, Wolf has an opportunity to handle an increased workload, strengthening his short-term fantasy appeal. He's won his last two starts while stopping 46 of 49 shots faced over that span.

William Stromgren LW | CGY
Flames' William Stromgren: Scores game-winner in season debut
Stromgren scored the game-winning goal in Monday's 2-1 victory over the Sharks.
Stromgren made an immediate impact in his season debut, batting the puck into the net midway through the third period to give Calgary a two-goal advantage. The young winger was deployed on the fourth line alongside Jonathan Castagna and Adam Klapka, suggesting his opportunities could remain limited. He'll need to establish a more prominent offensive role before becoming a viable option in most fantasy formats.
-
Adam Klapka RW | CGY
Flames' Adam Klapka: Scores, assists Monday
Klapka scored a goal and added an assist in Monday's 2-1 win over the Sharks.
Klapka opened the scoring late in the first period before helping set up William Stromgren's game-winning tally midway through the third. The fourth-line winger played a direct role in both Calgary goals, but it would be a stretch to think he'll produce offensively on a regular basis going forward. Despite the two-point outing, his limited offensive responsibilities leave him with modest fantasy appeal outside deeper leagues.

Patrick Kane RW | CHI
Blackhawks' Patrick Kane: Set to miss some time
Head coach Jeff Blashill said after Monday's 5-2 loss to the Avalanche that Kane has an upper-body injury and will miss at least the next couple of games, Ben Pope of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
The Blackhawks' upcoming three-game road trip will begin Wednesday against the Panthers and conclude against the Hurricanes on Saturday, but it's currently unclear if Kane will be traveling with the team. Following Saturday's game, the Blackhawks don't play again until Nov. 12, so it wouldn't be surprising to see Kane sidelined until at least that date if he doesn't make the trip to Florida on Tuesday. Jordan Greenway will probably get back into the lineup Wednesday due to Kane's absence.

Matthew Poitras C | BOS
Bruins' Matthew Poitras: Nicked up against Vegas
Poitras sustained an undisclosed injury against the Golden Knights on Monday, and there was no update on his status after the game, Jack Studley of Boston Hockey Now reports.
Poitras was elbowed by Braeden Bowman during this game, which resulted in a major penalty and game misconduct for the Vegas forward. Head coach Marco Sturm should have information to relay on Poitras' status prior to the Bruins' next game, which is Thursday in Pittsburgh.

Patrick Kane RW | CHI
Blackhawks' Patrick Kane: Won't return to Monday's game
Kane (undisclosed) has been ruled out for the remainder of Monday's game versus Colorado.
Kane left the game late in the second period and wasn't on the bench for the start of the third. The veteran logged 10:20 of ice time across 11 shifts prior to his departure. The Blackhawks will begin a three-game road trip Wednesday against the Panthers -- Kane can be considered day-to-day until his status is updated prior to that contest.
