  • Noah Ostlund C | BUF

Sabres' Noah Ostlund: Nets go-ahead power-play goal

Ostlund scored a power-play goal in Monday's 5-3 win over Florida.

Ostlund's third-period strike, assisted by Zach Benson and Jack Quinn, put the Sabres ahead for good at 4-3. It was his second goal of the season, and he saw over four minutes of power-play time in the win.

  • Flyers' Carl Grundstrom: Sent down by Philadelphia

Grundstrom was loaned to AHL Lehigh Valley on Monday.

Grundstrom appeared in five of the Flyers' first seven games of the season and was held scoreless with 14 hits and four blocked shots while averaging 11:20 of ice time. He should have plenty of opportunities to see playing time in the minors and will be a candidate to be called back up if the Flyers need additional depth at some point.

  • Ryan McLeod C | BUF

Sabres' Ryan McLeod: Scores in victory

McLeod scored his first goal of the season on two shots in Monday's 5-3 win over the Panthers.

McLeod's second-period goal, assisted by Olen Zellweger and Owen Power, put Buffalo ahead 3-2. He finished the night with a plus-1 rating and seven of 16 draws won, in addition to finding the back of the net for the first time this year.

  • Golden Knights' Ben Hemmerling: Assigned to AHL

Hemmerling (undisclosed) was loaned to AHL Henderson on Monday.

Hemmerling began the 2026-27 campaign on Vegas' injured non-roster list. Now that he is ready to play, he will get playing time in the minors. Hemmerling notched 21 goals and 50 points in 68 AHL regular-season games for Henderson in 2025-26.

  • Seth Jones D | FLA

Panthers' Seth Jones: Multi-assist effort in defeat

Jones set up both of Sam Reinhart's goals in Monday's 5-3 loss to Buffalo.

Jones logged 23:55 of ice time, including over four minutes on the power play, and picked up his first assists of the year. The two-helper showing was a nice step for a blueliner who entered the night with just one point in five games to open the year. Given his heavy power-play usage, Jones should start producing more consistently in the future.

  • Panthers' Anton Lundell: Scores first goal of season

Lundell scored on three shots in Monday's 5-3 loss to the Sabres.

Lundell's first-period tally, assisted by Aaron Ekblad and Sandis Vilmanis, pulled Florida even at 1-1 before Buffalo answered with the eventual game-winning sequence. It was the 25-year-old Lundell's first goal of the young campaign, giving him two points on the year.

  • Sam Reinhart C | FLA

Panthers' Sam Reinhart: Nets two in loss

Reinhart scored twice on two shots in Monday's 5-3 road loss to Buffalo.

Reinhart opened the scoring in the second period with a power-play tally before adding another with the man advantage in the third to briefly tie the game at 3-3. Both goals came with assists from Seth Jones, and Reinhart finally got on the scoresheet this season. He'll look to build on this multi-goal effort when the Panthers continue their road trip in Columbus on Tuesday.

  • Akira Schmid G | FLA

Panthers' Akira Schmid: Loses relief outing

Schmid fell to the Sabres 5-3 after coming on in the second period and stopping 18 of 21 shots.

Schmid was pressed into service after Jacob Markstrom stayed in the locker room after the first period. The 26-year-old Schmid has now made two appearances for the Panthers, suffering defeats in both outings. With the team back in action versus Columbus on Tuesday, Schmid may have to do double duty on short notice.

  • Panthers' Jacob Markstrom: Exits after first period

Markstrom didn't come out for the second period of Monday's road matchup with Buffalo, stopping nine of 11 shots on net.

Markstrom was replaced by Akira Schmid, who would take the loss despite making 18 saves while conceding three goals. If the 36-year-old Markstrom doesn't have a serious injury, it's possible that he gets the nod for Tuesday's clash with the Blue Jackets since he only played one period.

  • Sharks' Barclay Goodrow: Dealing with illness

Goodrow (illness) didn't participate in Monday's practice, Curtis Pashelka of The San Jose Mercury News reports.

San Jose is hopeful Goodrow will be available to play against Boston on Tuesday. He hasn't earned a point in five appearances this season, but he has posted three shots on net, two blocked shots and 16 hits.
