Victor Hedman D | TB
Lightning's Victor Hedman: Goal for aging veteran
Hedman scored a goal Saturday in a 5-4 shootout loss to the Predators.
Hedman has three goals, two assists, 16 blocks and 15 shots this season while averaging 14:13. His game has ease toward its twilight, but that's not really a surprise for a 6-foot-7 defender with 1,176 regular season and another 170 playoff games on his odometer.

Andrei Vasilevskiy G | TB
Lightning's Andrei Vasilevskiy: Third-straight game with four-plus allowed
Vasilevskiy made 29 saves in a 5-4 shootout loss to Nashville on Saturday.
Vasilevskiy is the cream of the NHL goaltending crop, but he's on a bit of a slide. He has allowed 13 goals in his last three games and never fewer than four in any of the contests. This is the first time since opening night that Vasilevskiy has allowed that many snipes in a contest. He's 6-3-1 overall, but both his 3.00 GAA and .877 save percentage are below the NHL average this season (2.96, .891). And his high-danger goals against is below the 50th percentile according to NHL Edge Stats. Don't stress yet -- his current drop is directly tied to games with low shot volumes, and Vasilevskiy has a history of taking time to warm up his goaltending engine every season.

Jake Guentzel C | TB
Lightning's Jake Guentzel: Four-game, five-point scoring streak
Guentzel scored a goal in Saturday's 5-4 shootout loss to the Predators.
Guentzel is on a four-game, five-point scoring streak that includes four goals. He has 18 shots in that span, a marked increase from the 20 in his first nine games. Guentzel's line mate, Nikita Kucherov, has requested a trade. His value isn't tied to Kuch, but Guentzel does benefit from playing with the reigning Hart trophy winner. His fantasy value post-trade will drop, as there's no way to get back the kind of talent that's leaving in any deal.

John Carlson D | TB
Lightning's John Carlson: Goals in back-to-back games
Carlson had a goal and an assist in Saturday's 5-4 shootout loss to Nashville. He fired five shots.
Carlson has three points, including two goals, in his last two games. But none have come on the power play, a place where the Bolts continue to struggle despite the offensive firepower on the top unit. Carlson will get his points there for sure, so be patient.

Nikita Kucherov RW | TB
Lightning's Nikita Kucherov: Three points in another day in office
Kucherov had three assists Saturday in a 5-4 shootout loss to Nashville.
It was another day in the office for the superstar despite the furor around his trade request. Late Friday, Bolts general manager Julien Brisbois made it clear "We unequivocally have no intention of trading Nikita." Kucherov is on a three-game, five-assist streak that includes seven shots and four PIM. The reigning Hart trophy winner is a fantasy cornerstone, so fingers crossed this doesn't get to the point of sitting out. So far, so good.

Arvid Soderblom G | CHI
Blackhawks' Arvid Soderblom: Can't protect lead in Boston
Soderblom made 27 saves in Saturday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Bruins.
Chicago held a 4-2 lead with seven minutes in the third period, but Soderblom's defense buckled under late pressure as Boston fired 17 shots on net in the final frame alone, and both pucks that beat him came on high-danger chances from in close. Elias Lindholm then scored the Bruins' OT winner on a strong individual effort, as he fought off Oliver Moore on his way to the net before deking Soderblom out of his skates. The 27-year-old netminder remains winless on the season, going 0-2-1 in three starts while giving up 14 goals on 82 shots (.829 save percentage).

Jet Greaves G | CLB
Blue Jackets' Jet Greaves: Starting in Dallas
Greaves will guard the road goal versus the Stars on Saturday, per the NHL media site.
Greaves is set to make his second start in a row. He took a loss in his last outing, stopping 24 of 27 shots against the Hurricanes. The 25-year-old netminder has had some uneven results to start the year, posting a 2-4-0 record with a 3.29 GAA and an .884 save percentage. If he can't turn things around, he could end up falling behind Cam Talbot on the depth chart.

Kirby Dach C | MON
Canadiens' Kirby Dach: Late scratch due to illness
Dach will miss Saturday's game against Pittsburgh because of an illness.
Dach has three assists, six PIM, 18 hits and six blocks in 13 appearances with Montreal this season. Owen Beck is set to draw into the lineup because of Dach's illness.

Leevi Merilainen G | VAN
Canucks' Leevi Merilainen: In goal Saturday
Merilainen will tend the home twine versus the Maple Leafs on Saturday, Jeff Paterson of the Sekeres and Price podcast reports.
Merilainen will make his fourth straight start. He's allowed 12 goals on 81 shots over his last three outings, though he's managed to go 1-2-0 in that span. The 24-year-old netminder looks to have built some trust with head coach Manny Malhotra, but Merilainen's performance lately hasn't made him a reliable fantasy option.

Joakim Kemell RW | NSH
Predators' Joakim Kemell: Tallies twice in AHL win
Kemell scored two goals in AHL Milwaukee's 4-1 win over Cleveland on Saturday.
Kemell has put together a decent start to the year with four goals and four assists over 10 games. The forward produced three points in 16 NHL games in 2025-26, but he wasn't able to make the Opening Night roster this season. If he continues to play well in the AHL, he might be considered for a call-up.
