Scott Morrow D | NYR
Rangers' Scott Morrow: Bags assist in loss
Morrow notched an assist and three shots on goal in Sunday's 4-1 loss to the Oilers.
This was Morrow's season debut. The 24-year-old defenseman would require waivers to go to AHL Hartford, and the Rangers are clearly reluctant to risk losing him for nothing. Prior to this season, he earned 12 points across 45 career regular-season outings. Morrow may have a clear path to playing time if Sean Durzi (undisclosed) misses time beyond Sunday.

Pavel Dorofeyev RW | NYR
Rangers' Pavel Dorofeyev: Nets lone goal in loss
Dorofeyev scored a goal in Sunday's 4-1 loss to the Oilers.
Dorofeyev tallied in the second period to spoil Matt Tomkins' shutout bid. The goal extended Dorofeyev's point streak to five games (two goals, three assists), though the Rangers have lost the last four of those contests. The 26-year-old winger is up to four goals, five helpers, 43 shots on net and a minus-14 rating over 15 appearances. Dorofeyev looks to be settling in with his new team, though he can still improve on offense even with the hot streak rolling.

Dylan Garand G | NYR
Rangers' Dylan Garand: No match for Oilers
Garand stopped 21 of 24 shots in Sunday's 4-1 loss to the Oilers. The fourth goal was an empty-netter.
Garand wasn't able to stand up against the Oilers' top players. This was a fourth straight loss for Garand, who has allowed 15 goals on 98 shots in that span. He's now 4-6-1 with a 2.73 GAA and an .897 save percentage over 11 appearances this season. Garand and James Reimer look likely to settle into a timeshare in the crease unless one of them can string some positive results together. The Rangers are set to host the Blues on Tuesday.

Leon Draisaitl C | EDM
Oilers' Leon Draisaitl: Slides two assists in win
Draisaitl logged two assists, including one on the power play, and fired three shots on net in Sunday's 4-1 win over the Rangers.
Draisaitl has four helpers over the first two games of the Oilers' trip through the Tri-State area. The 31-year-old forward is up to 12 goals, 16 helpers, 53 shots on net and a plus-15 rating across 15 appearances to begin the season. Draisaitl's performance is undeniably excellent, but even he's been overshadowed by the historic pace Connor McDavid has set over the first month-plus of the campaign.

Connor McDavid C | EDM
Oilers' Connor McDavid: Streak rolls into new month
McDavid scored a goal on six shots, added a power-play assist and went plus-2 in Sunday's 4-1 win over the Rangers.
McDavid's season-opening point streak is up to 15 games, stretching it into November. Of those performances, he's earned multiple points 11 times, though that's happened in just twice of the last four contests. The 29-year-old superstar has nine goals, 30 helpers, 42 shots on net, 17 hits and a plus-20 rating to begin 2026-27. At this pace, he's threatening to surpass the career-high 153 points he had in 2022-23 by a massive margin.

Evan Bouchard D | EDM
Oilers' Evan Bouchard: Racks up three more points
Bouchard scored a power-play goal on three shots, added two assists and went plus-2 in Sunday's 4-1 win over the Rangers.
Bouchard had been held to two assists over his previous three games, a rare relatively quiet stretch for the defenseman. He was back to getting significantly involved in this contest. Bouchard is up to eight goals, 18 helpers, 45 shots on net, 17 blocked shots and a plus-22 rating through 15 appearances. It's fair to question if he can keep this up all year, but Bouchard is setting a pace that would put him over 120 points if he can avoid missing time. No blueliner has earned more than 110 points since Paul Coffey's 113-point campaign for the Penguins in 1988-89.

Colton Dach C | EDM
Oilers' Colton Dach: Tallies twice in win
Dach scored two goals on four shots in Sunday's 4-1 win over the Rangers.
Dach's first goal was ultimately the game-winner, and he added an empty-netter to seal it. The 23-year-old forward has a pair of multi-point efforts over his last four games, with those three goals and one helper accounting for all of his offense this season. Across 11 outings, he's added 22 shots on net, 24 hits, eight PIM and a minus-1 rating. Dach is currently in a second-line role, which gives him a better chance to produce offense than his previous bottom-six usage did.
-
Matt Tomkins G | EDM
Oilers' Matt Tomkins: Sharp in win
Tomkins stopped 27 of 28 shots in Sunday's 4-1 win over the Rangers.
This was Tomkins' first game at the NHL level since the 2023-24 campaign. He was able to keep things rolling for the Oilers, who have won three straight games. The 32-year-old will continue to fill the backup role behind Tristan Jarry while Devon Levi (undisclosed) is out. Tomkins isn't likely to get a lot more work during this stint in the NHL -- the Oilers don't have another back-to-back for two weeks.

Nick Schmaltz C | UTA
Mammoth's Nick Schmaltz: Offers pair of helpers
Schmaltz notched two power-play assists, three shots on goal and a minus-3 rating in Sunday's 6-3 loss to the Flyers.
Schmaltz has a trio of assists over his last three games. Like many of the Mammoth's top players, Schmaltz has thrived on the power play over the first month of the season. He's at seven goals and nine assists through 15 games, with eight of his 16 points coming on the power play. He's added 41 shots on net, 10 hits and a minus-9 rating while seeing steady top-six minutes.
-
Clayton Keller RW | UTA
Mammoth's Clayton Keller: Mixed results Sunday
Keller had two power-play assists, four shots on goal and a minus-4 rating in Sunday's 6-3 loss to the Flyers.
Keller was able to assist on goals for Logan Cooley and Mikhail Sergachev, but the Mammoth's top line got caved in at even strength. Keller continues to contribute well on offense with a goal and six helpers over his last six games. He's up to four goals, 14 assists, 36 shots on net, 16 PIM and a minus-9 rating over 15 appearances. He's earned 12 of his 18 points on the power play, which has been a strength for Utah this season.
