Jack Roslovic C | TOR
Maple Leafs' Jack Roslovic: Scores in 600th career game
Roslovic scored a goal on three shots in Thursday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Golden Knights.
This was Roslovic's 600th career game, and the goal was also his 300th point. While those marks suggest he's a fairly average player, he's looking a bit better than that on the right side of the line centered by Auston Matthews early this season. Roslovic has two goals, two assists, 13 shots on net, three hits and a plus-3 rating over five appearances so far. He's worth considering in fantasy formats as long as he stays in that top-line spot.

Brett Howden C | LV
Golden Knights' Brett Howden: Scores in shootout win
Howden scored a goal on three shots and added two hits in Thursday's 4-3 shootout win over the Maple Leafs.
The goal was Howden's first of the season. The 28-year-old has gotten a chance to open the season in the top six, but with two points through five games, he may cede his spot to a younger forward like Trevor Connelly or Braeden Bowman at some point. Howden has added 10 shots on net, seven hits and a plus-1 rating while seeing minimal power-play time.

Jack Eichel C | LV
Golden Knights' Jack Eichel: Stays hot with one of each
Eichel scored a goal on a penalty shot, added an assist, fired six shots on net, blocked two shots and went plus-2 in Thursday's 4-3 shootout win over the Maple Leafs.
Eichel played a key role during the Golden Knights' second-period comeback from a 3-0 deficit. His penalty shot conversion tied the game at 3-3, and it gave him a fourth multi-point effort in five outings this season. The star center is at three goals, nine assists, 14 shots on net and a plus-5 rating. Keep Eichel firmly in your fantasy lineups.

Matthew Poitras C | BOS
Bruins' Matthew Poitras: Two-point outburst in win
Poitras scored a goal and added an assist in Thursday's 6-1 win over Utah.
It was his second game this season after missing three contests with a lower-body injury. Poitras is the Bruins' fourth-line pivot. His ice time will be limited in that role, but it will be a great learning experience. Poitras' fantasy value will come in the future.

Mikael Backlund C | CGY
Flames' Mikael Backlund: Puts away goal
Backlund scored a goal on eight shots in Thursday's 7-3 loss to the Avalanche.
This was Backlund's first point of the season, to go with 17 shots on net, four hits, one blocked shot and a minus-3 rating. The veteran center is in the first season of a two-year extension he signed in September of 2025. He's serving as the Flames' captain, and while the results on the ice are unlikely to be pretty, he'll serve as a mentor to many of the team's young forwards during some rebuilding years.
-
Casey Mittelstadt C | BOS
Bruins' Casey Mittelstadt: First goal of season
Mittelstadt scored a goal in a 6-1 win over Utah on Thursday.
It was Mittelstadt's first goal of the season. He's fresh off a 15-goal, 42-point season, and he's skating with Elias Lindholm and rookie James Hagens on the team's third line. Mittelstadt's days of high 50s point totals are behind him, but he can deliver another 40-point campaign, especially with his role on the second power-play unit.
-
Nathan MacKinnon C | COL
Avalanche's Nathan MacKinnon: Collects three points in win
MacKinnon scored a goal on two shots, added two assists and went plus-2 in Thursday's 7-3 win over the Flames.
MacKinnon was held off the scoresheet Wednesday in Winnipeg, but he wasted no time in bouncing back. This was his third multi-point effort of the year. The superstar center has compiled three goals, five assists, 15 shots on net, two hits and a plus-1 rating across four outings in his usual top-line role.
-
Morgan Geekie C | BOS
Bruins' Morgan Geekie: Three power-play points in win
Geekie had a goal and two assists, all on the power play, in Thursday's 6-1 win over the Mammoth.
The goal was Geekie's first of the season after a 39-goal, 68-point campaign in 2025-26. He has scored 72 goals in the last two seasons, and he's in a great position to deliver the same kind of production this season. Geekie is skating on the top line with David Pastrnak and Pavel Zacha, and he hops the boards on the top power play unit.

Anthony Cirelli C | TB
Lightning's Anthony Cirelli: First point of season
Cirelli scored a goal Thursday in a 3-2 win over the Wild.
It came on a redirection early in the first period. It was Cirelli's first goal and point of the season. The second-line pivot is coming off two, 52-plus point campaigns, recording a combined plus-68 rating and averaging 25 goals. Cirelli should be able to deliver similar numbers this season in a strong Tampa system.

Dillon Dube C | STL
Blues' Dillon Dube: Scores shorthanded goal
Dube scored a shorthanded goal in Thursday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Sharks.
The goal was his first point of the season, and it came on his first shot. He's added three hits, two PIM and a minus-1 rating over three appearances. Dube is filling a fourth-line role, and while he'll compete with Zach Dean and Ross Johnston for playing time, all of those depth forwards should have some stability in their roles during Alexey Toropchenko's (upper body) absence of at least six weeks.
