Hayes scored twice in AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton's 4-2 loss to Cleveland on Friday.
Hayes has picked up where he left off last year, earning eight points across five outings in 2026-27. The 24-year-old winger should be in the mix to get called up if the Penguins need a spare forward at some point. Hayes has shown the ability to add some offense in the bottom six, having scoring five times over 16 regular-season games with Pittsburgh last year.
