Terrace Marshall Jr. WR | PHI
Terrace Marshall: Getting cut from practice squad
Philadelphia released Marshall from its practice squad Tuesday.
Marshall signed with the Eagles' practice squad prior to Week 1, but now he's on his way out after Week 9. He'll become a free agent, and he'll probably have to look for his next opportunity to make an impression elsewhere.

Nolan Smith LB | PHI
Eagles' Nolan Smith: Gets clearance to practice
Philadelphia designated Smith (triceps) for return to practice from its injured reserve list Tuesday.
Smith was originally placed on injured reserve with a lingering triceps injury after Week 3 versus the Rams, but it now appears he's on track to returning to the field soon. The Eagles will have 21 days to officially activate Smith before they would be required to keep him on injured reserve for the remainder of the season.

DeeJay Dallas RB | CAR
DeeJay Dallas: Staying in Carolina
The Panthers signed Dallas to the practice squad Tuesday, Kassidy Hill of the team's official site reports.
Dallas was released from the Panthers' active roster Saturday, but the 2020 fourth-rounder has opted to stay in Carolina as a member of the team's practice squad. He would be a top candidate to be elevated to the Panthers' 53-man roster if Rico Dowdle, Chuba Hubbard or Trevor Etienne were to miss time due to injury, illness or suspension. Dallas played for the Panthers in Weeks 5 and 6 and accumulated 141 kick return yards.

Hendon Hooker QB | CAR
Hendon Hooker: Cut from Carolina's practice squad
The Panthers cut Hooker from the practice squad Tuesday, Kassidy Hill of the team's official site reports.
Hooker joined the Panthers' practice squad in late August after being waived by the Lions at the end of training camp. He was elevated to the Panthers' active roster for their Week 8 clash against the Bills to serve as Andy Dalton's backup due to Bryce Young being sidelined with an ankle injury. With Young fully healthy and Dalton and Mike White also on the active roster, the Panthers are no longer in need of Hooker's services, but the 2023 third-rounder should garner interest from teams looking to add a scout team quarterback.

Treylon Burks WR | WAS
Commanders' Treylon Burks: Getting signed to active roster
Washington signed Burks to its active roster Tuesday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
The Commanders are dealing with injuries to multiple notable contributors at wide receiver, so it's not a huge surprise to see them bring up reinforcements at the position. Burks logged 32 offensive snaps in his first game with Washington in Week 9, bringing in his only target for 14 yards.

Marvin Mims WR | DEN
Broncos' Marvin Mims: Considered limited Tuesday
Mims (concussion) was estimated to be a limited participant at Tuesday's walkthrough.
Mims was able to participate in some capacity for the first time since suffering a concussion in Week 8 against Dallas. The wide receiver remains in the concussion protocol, and he'll likely have to log a full session Wednesday to have a shot at playing in Thursday night's matchup with Las Vegas. If he's unavailable, Pat Bryant would once again see an uptick in workload in Week 9.

John Rhys Plumlee WR | PIT
John Rhys Plumlee: Cut from Pittsburgh's PS
The Steelers cut Plumlee from the practice squad Tuesday, Teresa Varley of the team's official site reports.
Plumlee joined the Steelers' practice squad this past Wednesday after spending the offseason with the Seahawks. Now that he's off Pittsburgh's practice squad, the 24-year-old wideout will look to join a team in need of depth at wide receiver.

Brandon Aubrey K | DAL
Cowboys' Brandon Aubrey: Misses record-matching field goal
Aubrey went 1-for-2 on field-goal attempts and made his both of his point-after tries during the Cowboys' 27-17 loss to the Cardinals on Monday.
Aubrey had an opportunity to match Cam Little's NFL record of a 68-yard field goal at the end of the first half, but the former's attempt did not have the accuracy, as the kick sailed wide left. Aubrey connected on a 26-yard chip shot in the third quarter, but that was the third-year kicker's only field goal as the Cowboys failed to convert on fourth-down attempts in the first and fourth quarters while in opposing territory. Aubrey enters the Week 10 bye having gone 17-for-18 on field-goal attempts and 28-for-29 on extra-point tries through nine regular-season games.

Chad Ryland K | ARI
Cardinals' Chad Ryland: Makes all five kicks Monday
Ryland connected on both field-goal attempts and all three point-after tries during Monday's 27-17 victory in Dallas.
Since sending a 57-yard field goal wide right at the end of the first possession of a Week 3 loss at San Francisco, Ryland has been perfect as a placekicker since then, making 11 FGAs and 14 PATs without a miss. That amounts to 7.8 points per game during that stretch, which would rank 11th among kickers with at least eight appearances this season. With a visit to Seattle on tap Week 10, Ryland may be hard-pressed for success against a Seahawks team that has ceded just eight FGAs over its last five games.

Zay Jones WR | ARI
Cardinals' Zay Jones: No targets in Week 9
Jones wasn't targeted during Monday's 27-17 victory at Dallas.
Jones emerged from the Cardinals' Week 8 bye with practice restrictions due to a lingering knee issue, and while he proceeded to log a 52 percent snap share that was in his usual range, he was blanked in the box score for the second time in seven appearances this season. Jones is firmly behind Marvin Harrison and Michael Wilson in the pecking order at wideout, making him a hit-or-miss fantasy option.
