  • Shedrick Jackson: Going back to Vegas

The Raiders signed Jackson to their practice squad Wednesday.

Jackson ended last season on the Raiders' practice squad and will begin the 2025 campaign there as well. The 25-year-old has played in three NFL regular-season games, all of which came in 2023 with Cincinnati.

  • Khalil Shakir WR | BUF

    Bills' Khalil Shakir: Resumes practicing

Shakir (ankle) is participating in Wednesday's practice, Katherine Fitzgerald of The Buffalo News reports

Shakir is back on the practice field for the first time since suffering a right high-ankle sprain Aug. 1, so even being restricted to limited reps would represent a significant step in the right direction. Head coach Sean McDermott has expressed optimism about Shakir's chances of being available Week 1, so even if Buffalo opts to take a cautious approach to the No. 1 wideout's health, look for his activity level to ramp up in advance of Buffalo's regular-season opener against Baltimore on Sunday, Sept. 7.

  • Rashee Rice WR | KC

Chiefs' Rashee Rice: Six-game suspension made official

The NFL officially suspended Rice for the first six games of the 2025 regular season Wednesday for violating the league's Personal Conduct Policy, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Rice's suspension will begin immediately, as he and the NFL reached an agreement Wednesday on an arrangement that will force him to miss the first six weeks of the regular season but allow him to retake the field mid-season. He will first be eligible for reinstatement and to resume practicing Oct. 13 and to make his regular-season debut in Week 7 versus the Raiders on Oct. 19. JuJu Smith-Schuster figures to join Xavier Worthy and Hollywood Brown (ankle) in the majority of three-wide sets until Rice is reinstated.

  • Alex Bachman WR | LV

    Alex Bachman: Remaining with Raiders

Las Vegas signed Bachman to its practice squad Wednesday.

Bachman didn't make the Raiders' initial 53-man roster but is remaining with the organization. He spent most of the last year on Las Vegas' practice squad but did get into six regular-season games, catching all three of his targets for 31 yards.

  • Kristian Wilkerson: Back with Buffalo

The Bills signed Wilkerson to their practice squad Wednesday, Alec White of the team's official site reports.

Wilkerson didn't make Buffalo's initial 53-man roster, but he'll serve as organizational WR depth on the practice squad. The 28-year-old got into three regular-season games with the Raiders last year, catching two of three targets for 18 yards and a touchdown.

  • Stephen Gosnell: Links back up with Buffalo

The Bills signed Gosnell to their practice squad Wednesday, Alec White of the team's official site reports.

Gosnell had a solid preseason but didn't make Buffalo's initial 53-man roster. He'll now get a chance to further develop on the team's practice squad.

  • Jayden Reed WR | GB

Packers' Jayden Reed: Team 'hopeful' for Week 1 appearance

GM Brian Gutekunst said Wednesday that the Packers are "hopeful" that Reed (foot) will be available for a Week 1 matchup against the Lions on Sunday, Sept. 7, Zach Jacobson of 247Sports.com reports.

Reed wore a walking boot to protect a foot injury for less than a week in mid-August, but even after shedding it, he hasn't returned to practice. He thus sat out the Packers' entire preseason slate and now is exactly a week away from the team beginning on-field prep for the season opener. Next Wednesday's practice report may provide the first hint about whether Reed is on course to suit up against Detroit.

  • Malachi Corley WR | NYJ

Malachi Corley: Joins Cleveland's practice squad

The Browns are signing Corley to the practice squad Wednesday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.

Corley was waived by the Jets on Tuesday after playing just 83 snaps on offense across nine regular-season appearances last year as a rookie. The 2024 third-round pick will now work to maneuver toward a similar trajectory as Elijah Moore once did, being a player who was also let go by the Jets early in his career before turning things around with the Browns -- though he was traded to Cleveland, not claimed off waivers. Corley's skill set could make him a fine complement to top Cleveland wideouts Jerry Jeudy and Cedric Tillman as long as he can continue to progress in his development.

  • Tyreek Hill WR | MIA

Dolphins' Tyreek Hill: Absent from practice Wednesday

Hill (oblique) is not participating in Wednesday's practice, Omar Kelly of the Miami Herald reports.

Hill remains sidelined due to the lingering oblique injury that's limited him to only a handful of appearances at practice since early August. The Dolphins haven't yet expressed any signs of concern about Hill's availability for Week 1, so the team could simply be taking a cautious approach to his health in order to avoid any setbacks. It will be significant, however, for Hill to get back on the field over the next week and begin ramping up for the regular-season opener against Indianapolis on Sunday, Sept. 7.

  • Isaiah Williams: Sticks with Bengals organization

Williams signed with Cincinnati's practice squad Wednesday.

Williams failed to win a roster spot with the Bengals in 2025 after suiting up for six regular-season games with them in 2024, as well as two with Detroit. He'll likely remain on the practice squad barring an injury to return man Charlie Jones.
