  • Josiah Deguara TE | NYG

Packers' Josiah Deguara: Participating in team drills

Deguara (knee) participated in team drills during Thursday's practice, Marques Eversoll of The Fan 107.5 reports.

Deguara also participated in team drills during joint practices with the Jets last week, per Ryan Wood of the Green Bay Press Gazette, but the second-year tight end didn't suit up for last weekend's preseason game against New York. However, Deguara's continued participation in team drills this week suggests he didn't suffer any sort of setback, so it seems possible he could take the field for the Packers' preseason finale Saturday against the Bills.

  • Noah Fant TE | NO

Broncos' Noah Fant: Should be fine for opener

Fant (leg) should be ready for Week 1, James Palmer of NFL Network reports.

Fant has missed practice all week and won't play in Saturday's preseason game against the Rams. After that, the Broncos will have two weeks to prepare for their Sept. 12 opener against the Giants, with Teddy Bridgewater getting the start at QB. The breakout case for Fant remains solid, though he'll have no shortage of competition for targets in the Denver offense.

  • Geoff Swaim TE | CLE

Titans' Geoff Swaim: Heads to COVID-19 list

The Titans placed Swaim (undisclosed) on the reserve/COVID-19 list Thursday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.

Swaim will need to fully clear the league's COVID-19 protocols before returning to team facilities. The timing of Swaim's placement on the COVID list makes him an unlikely candidate for Saturday's preseason finale against the Bears, but he'll have over two weeks to gain clearance for the regular-season opener against Arizona on Sept. 12.

  • MyCole Pruitt TE | PIT

49ers' MyCole Pruitt: Back at practice

Pruitt (calf) is practicing Thursday, Jennifer Lee Chan of NBC Sports reports.

Pruitt missed a significant portion of training camp due to a calf injury, but he's now back on the field. The sixth-year pro is competing for a depth gig in San Francisco's tight-end corps, where George Kittle stands as the unquestioned No. 1 option.

  • Evan Engram TE | DEN

Giants' Evan Engram: Dealing with minor injury

Engram worked with the training staff during Thursday's joint practice with the Patriots, Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News reports.

He's seemingly bothered by a minor injury, with a limited practice Wednesday and now an absence Thursday morning. The Giants reportedly planned to play Engram for at least the first half of Sunday's preseason finale against New England, but it's no longer clear the tight end will be able to play. Engram otherwise has been healthy this summer, yet was held out of the Giants' first two preseason games.

  • Mark Andrews TE | BAL

Ravens' Mark Andrews: Healthy this week

Andrews is practicing Thursday, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports.

The tight end dealt with severe cramping last Friday and didn't end up playing in Saturday's preseason game against Carolina, though the two weren't necessarily related given that the Ravens rested some other starters. In any case, Andrews is back at practice this week without any limitations, serving as Lamar Jackson's top target while the team's starting wideouts continue to miss practice with various injuries. The Ravens seemingly expect Marquise Brown (hamstring) and Sammy Watkins (undisclosed) to be ready for Week 1 at Las Vegas, while rookie first-round pick Rashod Bateman (core muscle) figures to miss at least a game or two.

  • Noah Togiai TE | PHI

Colts' Noah Togiai: Reverts to IR

Togiai (undisclosed) cleared waivers and reverted to the Colts' injured reserve Wednesday, per the NFL's official transaction log.

Togiai will spend the entire 2021 campaign on injured reserve unless he can reach an injury settlement with the team. He appeared in four games for the Colts last season and failed to catch his lone target.

  • T.J. Hockenson TE | MIN

Lions' T.J. Hockenson: Managing shoulder injury

Coach Dan Campbell revealed Tuesday that Hockenson is dealing with a AC joint issue in his shoulder, Chris Burke of The Athletic reports.

Hockenson has been dealing with the injury for the past couple weeks, though the nature of the issue was previously undisclosed. The 24-year-old is participating at practice this week, and there isn't much concern about him being ready for the Sept. 12 season opener against the 49ers.

  • Hunter Henry TE | NE

Patriots' Hunter Henry: Does 7-on-7 work

Henry (shoulder) participated in 7-on-7 drills during Wednesday's practice, Jeff Howe of The Athletic reports.

While Henry didn't see any 11-on-11 work, his participation in some capacity Wednesday suggests that he's on track to be ready to go in advance of Week 1. The Patriots, however, could well elect to err on the side of caution with the tight end by holding him out of Sunday's preseason finale against the Giants. Henry and fellow newcomer Jonnu Smith are in line to work in tandem as a potent one-two punch in a New England attack that figures to roll out plenty of multi-tight end formations this coming season.

  • Noah Fant TE | NO

Broncos' Noah Fant: Misses another practice

Fant (leg) didn't practice Wednesday, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports.

The tight end continues to manage an unspecified left leg injury, but DiLalla relayed Tuesday that Fant's issue is not believed to be a long-term concern. When the 2019 first-round pick returns to the field, he'll look to continue to build chemistry with Teddy Bridgewater, who was named the Broncos' starting quarterback Wednesday.
