He'll look for more Week 9 against the Broncos.

Chris Ivory scores two of Jets' three rushing TDs in Week 8 loss

Jets running back Chris Ivory led the team's three-headed rushing attack Sunday, racking up 43 yards and two touchdowns on 13 carries in his team's 43-23 loss to the Bills in Week 8.

One game after rushing 21 times and posting his second 100-yard effort of the season, Ivory was the leader in the rushing game again, though the team's rushing leader ended up being backup quarterback Michael Vick. Both of Ivory's scores came from two yards out in the second quarter. He has delivered 475 yards on 101 carries with five touchdowns and 12 receptions for 103 yards.

The Jets also saw running back Bilal Powell deliver in limited action, rushing for 28 yards and a touchdown on four carries. Chris Johnson managed only three carries for seven yards while adding two receptions for 13 yards in the loss. The Jets will hit the road to face the Chiefs in Week 9.

Chiefs running back Knile Davis scored two touchdowns in the second half during Sunday's 34-7 win against the Rams.

Davis opened the second half with a 99-yard kickoff return, which put Kansas City ahead 17-7. He added a 3-yard rushing touchdown in the fourth quarter, which was Kansas City's final score.

Davis totaled 49 rushing yards on 16 carries. He has four rushing touchdowns in seven games, which ties a career high.

The Chies are back in action Week 9 vs. N.Y. Jets.

  • Cordarrelle Patterson in walking boot but says he's fine

Rams running backs combine for 76 rushing yards in Week 8 loss

Rams running backs Tre Mason, Benny Cunningham and Zac Stacy combined for 76 rushing yards and 29 receiving yards during a 34-7 loss Week 8 at Kansas City. Though, none of the three running backs had a touchdown.

Mason had a team-high 32 rushing yards on seven carries, while Cunningham had 27 rushing yards on four carries and Stacy had 17 rushing yards on five carries. Cunningham drew the start and had the first carry.

Stacy led the running backs with 20 receiving yards on three catches. He was targeted four times. Cunningham had one catch for 8 yards, while Mason had one catch for 1 yard.

The Rams are back in action Week 9 at San Francisco.

  • Chris Johnson RB | ARI

    Chris Ivory RB | JAC

Chris Ivory still the No. 1 option

If anything good came out of the Jets' 43-23 drubbing at the hands of the Bills in Week 8, it might just be that the team finally seems to be going away from a timeshare at running back.

Chris Johnson received just three carries in Sunday's game, the second time in three games he has recorded that total. His backfield mate Chris Ivory saw the majority of the work, rushing the ball 13 times for 43 yards and two touchdowns, giving him three over the last two weeks.

Ivory has been the more impressive runner for the Jets this season, but Fantasy owners have had to deal with concerns about his role throughout the season, with Johnson getting 10-plus carries on four separate occasions. However, Ivory has 46 more carries than Johnson over the last five games, and is clearly the top option.

Ivory makes for a solid Fantasy starter moving forward, while Johnson is little more than a reserve option at this point. Keep Ivory active in Week 9, even with a tough matchup against the Chiefs on the way.

  • Vikings get offensive contributions in OT win

The Vikings got several offensive contributions in their 19-13 overtime win at Tampa Bay. Among them, running back Matt Asiata caught four of five targets for 26 yards and rushed four times for 1 yard.

Wideout Charles Johnson caught two passes for 18 yards, and receiver Jarius Wright made two catches for 13 yards. They'll all face the Redskins in Week 9.
