Doug Martin RB | LV
Buccaneers' Doug Martin: Tops 70 yards in loss
Martin rushed 18 times for 71 yards and added a four-yard catch on two targets in Sunday's 17-3 loss to Carolina.
Martin finished three yards short of his season best on the ground, which was a decent effort considering quarterback Jameis Winston and the passing game couldn't get anything going. Jacquizz Rodgers had just one carry and one catch, so Martin continues to serve as the clear-cut No. 1 running back in Tampa Bay regardless of game flow.

Joe Mixon RB | HOU
Bengals' Joe Mixon: Accounts for 109 yards
Mixon rushed for 18 yards on 11 carries and added 91 yards on three catches in Sunday's 24-23 win over the Colts.
The majority of Mixon's production came late in the second quarter when he took a screen pass 67 yards to help set up the Bengals' first touchdown of the game. The play accounted for more yardage than Mixon had posted in a single game in four of his previous six outings. The rookie might not have liked how little he was utilized last week against Pittsburgh, but new offensive coordinator Bill Lazor has otherwise fed him the ball since taking over in Week 3. The Pittsburgh game aside, Mixon has averaged 17.8 touches per game under Lazor. Meanwhile, neither Jeremy Hill nor Giovani Bernard have cracked double digits in touches in a game on Lazor's watch.

Matt Breida RB | SF
49ers' Matt Breida: Scores first career touchdown
Breida rushed five times for 17 yards and caught four of six targets for 39 yards and his team's lone touchdown in Sunday's 33-10 loss to the Eagles.
Breida was out-touched 16-9 by Carlos Hyde, but he gained nine more yards from scrimmage while scoring his first career touchdown on a 21-yard reception. The undrafted rookie out of Georgia Southern has carved out a consistent change-of-pace role behind Hyde and his usage certainly won't shrink after this performance.
-
Alvin Kamara RB | NO
Saints' Alvin Kamara: Scores touchdown in Week 8 win
Kamara rushed eight times for 28 yards and a touchdown while catching all three of his targets for 48 more yards in Sunday's 20-12 win over the Bears.
Kamara got the scoring started with an eight-yard touchdown on the opening drive. Both Kamara and Mark Ingram are receiving threats out of the backfield in addition to being effective rushers, so coach Sean Payton has the luxury of rotating the duo while always having a fresh and versatile backfield option in the game. The rookie third-rounder out of Tennessee has compiled over 240 yards through both the ground and air while scoring three touchdowns through his first seven NFL games.
-
Jerick McKinnon RB | KC
Vikings' Jerick McKinnon: Records 122 scrimmage yards
McKinnon carried 14 times for 50 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's 33-16 win over the Browns. He also caught six of 10 targets for 72 yards.
McKinnon enjoyed an productive performance in this one, comfortably leading the team in scrimmage yards and finding the end zone on a one-yard plunge in the third quarter. He's been excellent in four weeks since Dalvin Cook's knee injury, scoring four touchdowns while averaging 106 scrimmage yards per game. McKinnon's fantasy arrow is pointing straight up at the moment, and he'll look to pick up where he left off in Week 10 against the Redskins after the upcoming bye.
-
Cameron Artis-Payne RB | CAR
Panthers' Cameron Artis-Payne: Garners five touches
Artis-Payne rushed four times for eight yards and caught his lone target for two yards in Sunday's 17-3 win over the Buccaneers.
Artis-Payne had been featured for just one offensive snap this season prior to Sunday, when his strong week of practice was rewarded with an expanded workload. Although his production was still heavily restricted, Artis-Payne will be pleased by getting in on the action.
-
Latavius Murray RB | BUF
Vikings' Latavius Murray: Bottled up versus Browns
Murray carried 19 times for 39 yards and turned his only target into an eight-yard gain during Sunday's 33-16 win over the Browns.
Murray touched the ball a season-high 20 times in this one but couldn't get it going against an improved Cleveland defensive front. Jerick McKinnon managed 20 touches of his own, including 10 targets, and was much more effective in terms of total yardage. The two backs should continue splitting touches in Week 10 against the Redskins, but Murray will need to be more efficient with his opportunities to avoid losing shares to McKinnon.
-
Christian McCaffrey RB | SF
Panthers' Christian McCaffrey: Leads Carolina in receiving
McCaffrey caught five of seven targets for 49 yards and rushed four times for three yards in Sunday's 17-3 win over the Buccaneers.
McCaffrey once again paced the Panthers in receptions and yards, with only top wideout Kelvin Benjamin matching his share of targets. While he continues to be a consistent presence in the passing game -- evidenced by the fact he's notched at least four catches in every game thus far -- McCaffrey has topped 50 yards just twice. On the ground, he's averaged just 10 yards per game since Week 1. Combined, that leaves McCaffrey's fantasy stock the highest in PPR formats for the time being.
-
Marlon Mack RB | ARI
Colts' Marlon Mack: Nabs first receiving score
Mack rushed for 27 yards on 11 carries and added 36 yards and a touchdown on three catches in Sunday's 24-23 loss to Cincinnati.
Mack gave Indianapolis a brief lead late in the third quarter when he took a short crosser and raced to the end zone for a 24-yard score, the first receiving touchdown of his career. Mack's 14 touches were a career high, but it doesn't yet seem that Indianapolis is phasing Frank Gore, considering the latter's 20 touches Sunday were his second-highest total of the season. The rookie has yet to see the ball more than the veteran thus far in 2017, so expect the split to continue to lean toward Gore. However, Mack should get his shots in an offense that isn't set up to make big plays through the air.
-
Melvin Gordon RB | BAL
Chargers' Melvin Gordon: Bursts free for long touchdown
Gordon (foot) carried the ball 14 times for 132 yards and a touchdown while also catching his lone target for seven yards in the 21-13 loss to the Patriots on Sunday.
Gordon apparently wasn't too hampered by a foot injury that limited him in practice Wednesday and Thursday, bursting free early in the first half for an 87-yard touchdown, the longest run of his young career and tied for the longest run in the entire history of the franchise. That scamper set the stage for Gordon to easily post his best rushing statistics of the season, but he struggled in the passing game for the second straight week, catching just one pass. The third-year running back will get ample time to heal with a bye next week before a potentially difficult Week 10 matchup against the Jaguars.
