Marlon Mack RB | ARI
Colts' Marlon Mack: Suits up Sunday
Mack (concussion) is listed as active for Sunday's game against the Jaguars.
Mack is thus on track to head the Colts' backfield Sunday against a Jacksonville defense that got the best of him in Week 10, limiting the running back to 29 yards on 12 carries and nine yards on two catches in a 29-26 Indy win. He'll look to bounce back Sunday, with the Jaguars on a seven-game losing slide. Nyheim Hines and Jordan Wilkins are on hand to work in complementary roles for the Colts in Week 13 and would step in in the event that Mack suffers any injury setbacks Sunday.

Melvin Gordon RB | BAL
Chargers' Melvin Gordon: Could be ready for Week 14
The Chargers are hopeful Gordon (knee) will be ready to play as soon as Week 14 against the Bengals or in Week 15 at Kansas City, Adam Schefter of ESPN.com reports. "It won't be long now," a source told Schefter, regarding Gordon's return.
After suffering an MCL sprain in his right knee in the Chargers' Nov. 25 win over the Cardinals, Gordon has been ruled out for Sunday's game in Pittsburgh, marking his second absence of the season. The Chargers labeled Gordon as week-to-week after he was diagnosed with the MCL injury, but the team is optimistic that with some time to rest, the 25-year-old will "at least be ready for the Kansas City game." Whether Gordon's absence lasts just one game or multiple contests, Austin Ekeler will act as the Chargers' primary running back, with rookie seventh-round pick Justin Jackson moving into the No. 2 role.

Gus Edwards RB | LAC
Ravens' Gus Edwards: On track to play
Edwards (ankle), who is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Falcons, is expected to play, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Edwards' full participation in Friday's practice never seemed to put him at much risk of sitting out Sunday, despite his designation. After clearing the century mark in rushing yardage in both of the past two weeks, Edwards should again be slated for ample work on the ground while sharing the backfield with signal-caller Lamar Jackson, who will fill in for Joe Flacco (hip) for the third straight game. Edwards is well positioned to hold down the No. 1 job at running back the rest of the season after the Ravens placed Alex Collins (foot) on injured reserve Saturday.

Marlon Mack RB | ARI
Colts' Marlon Mack: Likely to play Sunday
Mack (concussion), who is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Jaguars, is expected to play, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Schefter's report doesn't indicate if Mack has cleared the final phase of the five-step concussion protocol, but the expectation is the running back will receive clearance from an independent neurologist prior to the 1 p.m. EST kickoff. Mack practiced Thursday and Friday in full capacity and should head the Indianapolis backfield if he is in fact cleared to play against the Jaguars' 16th-ranked run defense, which ceded 167 yards on the ground to the Bills in a Week 12 loss.

Benny Cunningham RB | JAC
Bears' Benny Cunningham: Ruled out for Sunday
Cunningham (ankle) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's contest against the Giants, Patrick Finley of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
Cunningham was mainly a special teams player for the Bears, but Taquan Mizzell could stand to see a few more snaps in the event Chicago opts to use the totality of its depth chart.

Matt Breida RB | SF
49ers' Matt Breida: Cleared to face Seattle
Breida (ankle) doesn't have a designation on the 49ers' final injury report ahead of Sunday's game in Seattle.
Breida upgraded to full participation Friday after logging limited practices Wednesday and Thursday. He has been banged up for nearly every game this season, yet still ranks third among 49 qualified rushers with 5.8 yards per carry. While unchallenged as the leader of the San Francisco backfield, Breida ceded eight touches to Jeff Wilson during last week's 27-9 loss in Tampa Bay. With no chance at a playoff berth or even a respectable record, the 49ers don't have any incentive to give Breida more than 15-to-20 touches per game.

Rashaad Penny RB | CAR
Seahawks' Rashaad Penny: Enhanced role on tap
Offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer expects Penny to have a larger role in Seattle's game plan Sunday against the 49ers, Andy Patton of USA Today reports. "I expect that [Penny] will play well this weekend," Schottenheimer said. "Expect that we need to get the running game back going again and I think he'll be a big part of that."
Penny appeared to gain some momentum during his up-and-down rookie season in Weeks 10 and 11, when he logged a combined 20 totes for 154 yards (7.7 per carry) and a touchdown. The first-round pick saw his usage tumble the following week, however, as he logged just 10 offensive snaps and four carries in last Sunday's 30-27 win over the Seahawks, with both Chris Carson (32) and Mike Davis (18) outpacing him in terms of usage. Both Carson and Davis remain healthy heading into the weekend, but a home matchup against a 2-9 49ers squad that has struggled to slow the run this season could translate to a run-heavy game script that affords each of the top three options on the depth chart more work than usual. The Seahawks will add another back to the mix this week with J.D. McKissic (foot) returning from injured reserve, but he's likely more of a threat to Davis' duties on passing downs than Penny's role.

Dare Ogunbowale RB | LV
Dare Ogunbowale: Waived by Buccaneers
Ogunbowale was waived by Tampa Bay on Friday, Greg Auman of The Athletic reports.
Ogunbowale had worked mostly on special teams for the Buccaneers. The Wisconsin product was waived to make room for wide receiver Bobo Wilson, who helps provide depth in the wake of DeSean Jackson's (thumb) absence. In addition, the Buccaneers once again have fellow running back Ronald Jones at full health, further negating the need for Ogunbowale's presence on the roster.

Benny Cunningham RB | JAC
Bears' Benny Cunningham: Doubtful for Sunday
Cunningham (ankle) is officially listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against the Giants.
Cunningham suffered an ankle injury during a Week 12 win over the Lions and has not participated in practice since. The depth running back appears likely to sit out Sunday's tilt against the Giants. In Cunningham's absence, Taquan Mizzell could benefit from a slight increase in snaps.

Gus Edwards RB | LAC
Ravens' Gus Edwards: Questionable, despite full practice
Updating a previous report, Edwards (ankle), who is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Falcons, was a full participant in Friday's practice, according to Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com.
The Ravens released their injury designations for Sunday's contest before their final practice of the week concluded, so it wasn't immediately known how extensively Edwards was involved in the session. Though the questionable tag implies Edwards only has a 50-50 shot to suit up this weekend, his full involvement at Friday's practice would make it surprising if he was ultimately held out. With that in mind, it's expected that Edwards will reprise the lead-back role that has translated to 40 carries the past two weeks, during which he's piled up 233 yards and a touchdown. Edwards' primary threat to backfield work, Alex Collins (foot), is also listed as questionable for Week 13, but Collins seems less likely to suit up after failing to practice this week on the heels of an absence in last Sunday's win over the Raiders.
