Dalvin Cook RB | DAL
Vikings' Dalvin Cook: Deemed day-to-day
Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell said Monday that Cook (shoulder) is considered day-to-day, Chris Tomasson of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
Per Tomasson, Cook has a subluxed shoulder injury, which means it's in and out of the socket. Cook has dealt with this injury in the past, missing Week 13 last season. On this occasion, the Vikings are hopeful that Cook will be able to play through the issue while wearing a harness. However, his activity level in practice this week may provide further clarity on his status for Sunday's contest against the Saints in London. If the star running back is unable to suit up this weekend, Alexander Mattison would be the primary beneficiary.

D'Andre Swift RB | CHI
Lions' D'Andre Swift: May sit out until after Week 6 bye
Lions head coach Dan Campbell said Monday that Swift (shoulder/ankle) possibly could benefit by taking the next two weeks off and returning to action following the team's Week 6 bye, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Swift exploded for 175 yards from scrimmage on 18 touches Week 1, but he picked up an ankle injury that has limited him in each of the past two games. He also suffered a left shoulder sprain Week 3 that may be more serious than the ankle issue, so it sounds like the Lions are entertaining the idea of shutting the dynamic running back down for a period of time to see if they can get him healthy beyond the team's early bye.

Nyheim Miller-Hines RB | NO
Colts' Nyheim Hines: Five catches in Week 3 win
Hines rushed three times for seven yards and caught five of six targets for 23 yards in Sunday's 20-17 win over the Chiefs.
Hines gets most of his touches on checkdowns and designed short passes, giving him more value in PPR formats. He has seen consistent volume over the first three games, with either five or six targets in each one. However, he's not getting the kind of larger usage that the coaching staff forecast in the preseason. Hines and the Colts will host the Titans in Week 4.

Joe Mixon RB | HOU
Bengals' Joe Mixon: Cleared to play Thursday
Bengals head coach Zac Taylor said Monday that Mixon (ankle) is good to go for Thursday's showdown with Miami, Ben Baby of ESPN.com reports. Mixon was listed as a limited participant on Monday's estimated practice report.
Taylor said Mixon got his ankle nicked up during Sunday's win over the Jets, but it doesn't appear like it's serious enough to sideline him for Week 4, even with a short turnaround. The running back rushed 12 times for 24 yards and caught three of seven targets for 14 yards this past weekend, continuing his underwhelming start to the season. Taylor's comments are certainly encouraging, but fantasy managers still should track Mixon's practice status throughout the week to monitor any potential setbacks.

Marlon Mack RB | ARI
49ers' Marlon Mack: No touches in first game with SF
Mack was only on the field for three special teams snaps in Sunday's 11-10 loss to Denver.
Mack was signed from the practice squad to replace the injured Tyrion Davis-Price and serve as the team's third back. The former Colt didn't get involved in the offensive game plan, but the veteran's track record of success (1,999 combined rushing yards and 17 touchdowns in 2018 and 2019) could see him jump ahead of undrafted rookie Jordan Mason (five offensive snaps) as Jeff Wilson's backup while Davis-Price recovers from an ankle injury. Neither backup is worth rostering in fantasy so long as Wilson and Deebo Samuel dominate the backfield touches in San Francisco.
-
Zamir White RB | LV
Raiders' Zamir White: No offensive snaps in Week 3
White didn't play any offensive snaps in Sunday's 24-22 loss to the Titans.
White didn't touch the ball, and his usage was limited to nine snaps on special teams. The rookie running back isn't part of Vegas' backfield equation at the moment, as coach Josh McDaniels is content with a mix of veterans Josh Jacobs and Brandon Bolden.

Jordan Mason RB | MIN
49ers' Jordan Mason: Gets one carry as backup
Mason received one carry for seven yards in Sunday's 11-10 loss to Denver.
Mason has served as the primary backup to starter Jeff Wilson (12 carries for 75 yards) with rookie Tyrion Davis-Price (ankle) set to miss several weeks of action. The undrafted rookie only saw five snaps on offense (nine percent) compared to Wilson's 41 snaps, which shows the lack of trust head coach Kyle Shanahan has in Mason as an offensive option. Veteran Marlon Mack -- who was promoted from the practice squad prior to Sunday's contest -- only saw three snaps on special teams. Mason shouldn't be considered a fantasy option heading into a matchup with the Rams next Monday.
-
Pierre Strong Jr. RB | GB
Patriots' Pierre Strong: Logs two special teams snaps
Strong did not log a snap on offense in Sunday's 37-26 loss to the Ravens.
Strong was limited to two special-teams snaps in the contest, with Damien Harris and Rhamondre Stevenson once again leading the Patriots backfield. At some point, Strong could earn a share of change-of-pace work for the team, but for now the 2022 fourth-rounder is off the fantasy radar.
-
Zack Moss RB | CIN
Bills' Zack Moss: One big play in Sunday's loss
Moss ran four times for 46 yards and caught his only target for six yards in Sunday's loss to Miami.
Moss did have a key play in the game when he ripped off a career-best 43-yarder down the sideline, a run where he showed nice burst for a bulkier back. Moss remains a bit player in the high-powered Buffalo offense, getting between three and six carries in each game this season. If there's anything to learn beyond this, it's that he seems to be ahead of rookie James Cook in the pecking order -- if only by a slight margin -- behind starter Devin Singletary, who's far more advanced in the passing game than either of his teammates.
-
Brandon Bolden RB | LV
Raiders' Brandon Bolden: Five touches in return
Bolden rushed three times for 17 yards and caught his only two targets for four yards in Sunday's 24-22 loss to the Titans.
Bolden, who returned from a one-week absence due to a hamstring injury, earned five touches behind starter Josh Jacobs on Sunday while fellow reserve Ameer Abdullah was limited to four snaps on special teams. Bolden should fill a similar role back at home against the Broncos in Week 4.
