Samaje Perine RB | CIN
Bengals' Samaje Perine: Limited with abdomen injury
Perine was a limited practice participant Wednesday due to an abdomen injury, Jay Morrison of The Athletic reports.
Perine filled his usual role in the Week 5 loss to Baltimore, taking seven touches for 56 yards while playing 17 snaps off the bench behind Joe Mixon. His ability to practice in any capacity at the beginning of the week suggests Perine should be ready for a similar role this Sunday in New Orleans. If not, the Bengals can turn to Chris Evans to sub in for Mixon on third downs and give him the occasional breather on early downs.

Damien Harris RB | BUF
Patriots' Damien Harris: Limited participant Wednesday
Harris (hamstring) was listed as a limited participant at Wednesday's practice, Zack Cox of NESN.com reports.
Previous reports suggested that Harris was expected to miss multiple games, but the fact that he was listed as limited rather than a non-participant in the Patriots' first Week 6 practice is noteworthy. That said, Cox notes that the running back was seen leaving the Patriots' main practice area shortly after warming up. If Harris indeed ends up sitting out Sunday against the Browns, Rhamondre Stevenson would be in line to serve as New England's top backfield option.

Jonathan Taylor RB | IND
Colts' Jonathan Taylor: Held out of practice
Taylor (ankle) didn't practice Wednesday.
Taylor jogged off to the side but didn't actually participate in practice. Meanwhile, fellow running back Nyheim Hines (concussion) was a limited participant, donning a no-contact jersey to start the week. Hines was injured on the opening drive of last Thursday's win over Denver, leaving only Deon Jackson and Phillip Lindsay in the backfield with Taylor inactive due to his ankle injury. Taylor has two more chances to practice before the Colts host the Jaguars on Sunday.

Tyrion Davis-Price RB | GB
49ers' Tyrion Davis-Price: Logs full practice Wednesday
Davis-Price (ankle) practiced fully Wednesday, David Lombardi of The Athletic reports.
After suffering a high-ankle sprain Week 2 against the Seahawks, Davis-Price didn't mix into any drills the last three weeks, so his ability to handle every rep Wednesday signals that he's mostly past the issue. Jeff Wilson (shoulder) has been leading the 49ers backfield since Elijah Mitchell (knee) went down in the season opener, but Davis-Price, a rookie third-round pick, could challenge Tevin Coleman for complementary touches moving forward. In his sole appearance this season, Davis-Price mustered 33 yards on 14 carries (2.4 YPC) and wasn't targeted.

James Conner RB | ARI
Cardinals' James Conner: Deemed 'day-to-day'
Head coach Kliff Kingsbury said Wednesday that Conner (ribs) is day-to-day, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Conner exited this past Sunday's loss to the Eagles in the third quarter with a rib issue. Following the game, Kingsbury told Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com that Conner checked out fine, but the team will take a cautious approach with its top running back ahead of Sunday's game in Seattle. Speaking of the backfield, special teamer Jonathan Ward (hamstring) was placed on injured reserve Wednesday, while Darrel Williams (knee) isn't slated to play Week 6. Eno Benjamin and rookie sixth-round pick Keaontay Ingram are the only healthy backs on the active roster at the moment.
-
Jonathan Williams RB | WAS
Commanders' Jonathan Williams: Won't play Thursday night
Williams (knee) is listed as out for Thursday's game at Chicago, Zach Selby of the team's official site reports.
Williams was forced out of Sunday's loss versus Tennessee early with a knee injury, and it now appears he'll need to sit out at least one full game as he recovers. Antonio Gibson could see more snaps on special teams as a result.

Justice Hill RB | BAL
Ravens' Justice Hill: No practice Wednesday
Hill (hamstring) isn't practicing Wednesday, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.
Hill sat out the Ravens' Week 5 win over Cincinnati due to a hamstring issue, and he's not yet ready to mix into drills as Baltimore begins Week 6 prep. He'll have only two more chances to increase his activity ahead of Sunday's contest against the Giants. With Gus Edwards (knee) still on the PUP list but back at practice, Kenyan Drake and Mike Davis are currently next on the depth chart behind J.K. Dobbins.

Jonathan Taylor RB | IND
Colts' Jonathan Taylor: Jogs off to side Wednesday
Taylor (ankle) isn't practicing Wednesday but was spotted doing some light jogging off to the side, Kevin Bowen of 107.5 The Fan Indianapolis reports.
Per James Boyd of The Athletic, Taylor, wasn't sporting a helmet or pads during his workout. As such, the running back is trending toward an official non-participation listing on the Colts' initial Week 6 injury report ahead of their matchup Sunday with the Jaguars.

Nyheim Miller-Hines RB | NO
Colts' Nyheim Hines: Practices in non-contact jersey
Hines (concussion) practiced in a red non-contact jersey Wednesday, George Bremer of The Anderson Herald Bulletin reports.
Hines will need to clear the NFL's five-step concussion protocol in order to suit up Sunday against the Jaguars. His Week 6 availability is of more interest than usual, given the uncertain status of top back Jonathan Taylor (ankle). Taylor was inactive for the Week 5 win over the Broncos and wasn't spotted practicing Wednesday. Hines was officially listed as limited at the Colts' first practice of the week.

Jonathan Taylor RB | IND
Colts' Jonathan Taylor: Not practicing Wednesday
Taylor (ankle) wasn't spotted at practice Wednesday, George Bremer of The Anderson Herald Bulletin reports.
Meanwhile, Nyheim Hines (concussion) practiced in a non-contact jersey, which means that the Colts' backfield situation warrants close attention ahead of Sunday's game against the Jaguars. If either Taylor or Hines are sidelined this weekend, added snaps would be available for Deon Jackson and Phillip Lindsay, the latter of whom would need to be elevated from the practice squad.
