  • Breece Hall RB | NYJ

Jets' Breece Hall: Move to IR official

The Jets officially placed Hall (knee) on injured reserve Tuesday, Ethan Greenberg of the team's official site reports.

This is merely a procedural move with Hall already set to miss the rest of the season after sustaining a torn ACL and meniscus damage in his left knee this past Sunday at Denver. A 2022 second-round pick, he'll finish his rookie campaign with 80 carries for 463 yards, 18 catches on 31 targets for 218 yards and five total touchdowns in seven games. On Monday, the Jets reinforced their backfield by making a trade for James Robinson (knee), who will split reps with Michael Carter. Aside from Robinson and Carter, the team also has Ty Johnson and Zonovan Knight on the active roster.

  • Chiefs' Jerick McKinnon: Four touches in Week 7

McKinnon had two rushes for 12 yards and reeled in two of three targets for 36 yards during Sunday's 44-23 victory versus the 49ers.

McKinnon averaged 12 yards on his touches to salvage his fantasy day a bit, but he doesn't get the ball in his hands enough to warrant fantasy usage in most leagues, especially with rookie Isiah Pacheco absorbing a more significant workload (eight carries) in a starting role. With that said, McKinnon still led the running back room in offensive snaps (28), outpacing both Pacheco (19) and Clyde Edwards-Helaire (17).

  • Kevin Harris RB | JAC

Patriots' Kevin Harris: Doesn't play Monday

Harris was among the Patriots' inactives for Monday night's loss to the Bears, Evan Lazar of the team's official site reports.

With Damien Harris back in the mix, the 2022 sixth-rounder was the odd man out in the Patriots' Week 7 backfield, which was led by Rhamondre Stevenson, with Pierre Strong in reserve. Kevin Harris is thus off the fantasy radar until injuries hit the team's RB corps.

  • Cam Akers RB | SEA

Rams' Cam Akers: Unlikely to suit up Week 8

Coach Sean McVay said Monday that Akers (personal) is not likely to be active for Sunday's game against the 49ers, Cameron DaSilva of USA Today reports.

McVay also said that the Rams have spoken to teams about the third-year running back with the NFL trade deadline one week away. The coach wouldn't rule out keeping Akers in Los Angeles, saying it's "definitely still an option," but DaSilva notes that it seems highly likely the two sides eventually part ways. There may not be much of a market for Akers, however. The Jaguars traded James Robinson to the Jets on Monday, only receiving a conditional sixth-round pick in exchange.

  • Trestan Ebner RB | CHI

Bears' Trestan Ebner: Sees mop-up duty

Ebner rushed three times for eight yards in the Bears 33-14 win over the Patriots on Monday.

Earning his opportunities in the latter moments of a blowout victory, this was the first time Ebner has touched the ball on offense since Week 4, and he has 59 total yards on the season. Unless David Montgomery or Khalil Herbert miss time, Ebner may not see enough work to be a reliable fantasy option.

  • Rachaad White RB | WAS

Buccaneers' Rachaad White: Team-high rushing yardage in loss

White rushed six times for 24 yards and brought in one of two targets for eight yards in the Buccaneers' 21-3 loss to the Panthers on Sunday. He also returned two kickoffs for 46 yards.

White logged two fewer carries than Leonard Fournette but outgained his teammate by five yards. The rookie saw the second-highest snap total of his career as well (29), leaving him just 11 behind Fournette in that category. While his veteran teammate is still in line to continue leading the backfield for the foreseeable future, White has seemingly settled into a complementary role that appears good for 6-10 touches per game.

  • Khalil Herbert RB | NYJ

Bears' Khalil Herbert: Narrowing gap to Montgomery

Herbert rushed the ball 12 times for 62 yards in Monday's 33-14 win over the Patriots. He added one reception for 25 yards and a touchdown.

He earned only two touches fewer than David Montgomery, with both looking effective in Chicago's win. Herbert had two rushes that went for more than 10 yards, though his performance was highlighted by a 25-yard touchdown reception late in the first half. He remains the No. 2 option in the Bears backfield, though it appears the team may be willing to reward Herbert with a bigger workload.

  • Damien Harris RB | BUF

Patriots' Damien Harris: Three carries in return

Harris recorded three carries for eight yards in Monday's 33-14 loss to the Bears.

Harris returned from a one-game absence caused by a hamstring injury, though he made minimal impact. The Patriots had the ball for just under 23 minutes and were chasing points for much of the second half, which isn't the ideal game script for Harris. Instead, Rhamondre Stevenson remained the clear lead back, and his performance was highlighted by eight receptions as well as a goal-line rushing score. It's possible that Harris will see an increased workload in more positive game scripts, but his volume will likely be volatile.

  • Patriots' Rhamondre Stevenson: Remains Patriots' lead back

Stevenson rushed the ball 11 times for 39 yards and a touchdown in Monday's 33-14 loss to the Bears. He added eight receptions for 59 yards.

Stevenson accounted for 11 of the team's 14 carries by running backs, despite the return of Damien Harris. Game script may have played a role in the backfield split, as the Patriots surprisingly trailed for the entire second half. However, Stevenson also gave the team no reason to shift work elsewhere, as he accounted for three plays of 10 or more yards -- all of which came on receptions. However, Stevenson also made an impact on the ground, tallying one of New England's two touchdowns with a four-yard scamper midway through the second quarter. Harris could see more work in better circumstances, but Stevenson appears to have the inside track to lead the backfield.

  • Bears' David Montgomery: Narrowly leads backfield

Montgomery rushed the ball 15 times for 62 yards and a touchdown in Monday's 33-14 win over the Patriots.

The Bears' backfield came very close to an even split, as Montgomery out-touched Khalil Herbert only 15-13. Montgomery ran fairly effectively, though the majority of his production came early in the fourth quarter on a drive during which he tallied his longest rush of the day -- 12 yards -- and also found the end zone from one yard away. With the performance, Montgomery topped 60 rushing yards in a game for only the second time this season, and he appears to be headed for a split in workload with Herbert moving forward.
