  • Rachaad White RB | WAS

Buccaneers' Rachaad White: Lead role awaits Week 12

White is expected to serve as Tampa Bay's lead running back Sunday against the Browns with Leonard Fournette (hip) listed as doubtful for the contest, Scott Smith of the Buccaneers' official site reports.

Even if Fournette hadn't exited in the second half of the Buccaneers' last game Week 10 against the Seahawks in Munich due to the hip pointer, White may have pushed his way into at least a timeshare with the veteran back based on how he performed in Germany. White took a career-high 22 carries for 105 yards in the win over Seattle, and he now looks poised to get another chance to see a high-volume role out of the backfield with Fournette unlikely to be available in anything more than a limited capacity if he's active Sunday. Beyond White, the Buccaneers have Ke'Shawn Vaughn on hand to serve as a substitute, while Giovani Bernard (ankle) could be reinstated from injured reserve to serve as an option on passing downs. Even though he didn't draw a target in Munich, White displayed some prowess as a pass catcher in Weeks 4 through 9, when he turned in an 18-128-0 receiving line on 21 targets over a six-game stretch.

  • Gus Edwards RB | LAC

Ravens' Gus Edwards: Questionable, but should play

The Ravens list Edwards (hamstring/knee) as questionable for Sunday's game in Jacksonville.

Even though Edwards carries a designation into the weekend, he looks to be on track to put an end to his two-game absence Sunday. After opening the week as a limited participant in practice Wednesday, Edwards upgraded to full activity on Thursday and Friday. According to Jonas Shaffer of The Baltimore Sun, head coach John Harbaugh acknowledged prior to Friday's session that he's hopeful Edwards will suit up this weekend, though the running back's status won't be officially clarified until the Ravens release their inactive list 90 minutes prior to Sunday's 1 p.m. ET kickoff. If Edwards is cleared to play against the Jaguars, he should settle back in as the Ravens' lead option on the ground.

  • Chris Evans RB | CIN

Bengals' Chris Evans: Suiting up Sunday

Bengals head coach Zac Taylor said Evans (knee) is good to go for Sunday's game against the Titans, Geoff Hobson of the Bengals' official site reports.

Evans will return to the field for the first time since Week 9, with his knee injury keeping him sidelined for the Bengals' last two games. Though he's seen most of his work on special teams this season, Evans could have more of a role on offense in Week 12 while top back Joe Mixon (concussion) is sidelined. Samaje Perine is slated to pick up the start, while Evans could serve as the primary change-of-pace option behind him. The Bengals also have Trayveon Williams on hand for backfield depth, though he's more likely to be deployed as a runner than a pass catcher.

  • Bengals' Trayveon Williams: Set to fill depth role Week 12

Williams is expected to be active for Sunday's game against the Titans, James Rapien of SI.com reports.

With lead back Joe Mixon (concussion) having been ruled out for the Week 12 contest, Williams and Chris Evans are poised to serve as depth options behind Samaje Perine, who is expected to step into the starting role. Perine will most likely dominate the snaps and touches out of the backfield, though perhaps not to the extent of Mixon, who played at least two-thirds of the Bengals' offensive plays in every game until Week 11, when he exited in the first half of a win over the Steelers after sustaining the concussion. Mixon's absence should pave the way for Evans and Williams to both have roles on offense, albeit as change-of-pace options behind Perine. Evans likely represents a better bet to relieve Perine on passing downs, while Williams could sub in for Perine in short-yardage or more obvious running situations. Williams suited up for just the second time all season in the win over Pittsburgh, carrying two times for seven yards while failing to secure his only target.

  • Bills' Nyheim Hines: One carry on Thanksgiving

Hines rushed once for three yards in Thursday's 28-25 win over the Lions.

Hines finished fifth on the team in carries, trailing fellow running backs Devin Singletary (14) and James Cook (two) as well as quarterback Josh Allen (10) and wide receiver Isaiah McKenzie (two). Buffalo seems to have traded for Hines primarily due to his special teams prowess rather than to use him on offense; Hines added a 26-yard kickoff return in the Thanksgiving Day win.

  • Samaje Perine RB | CIN

Bengals' Samaje Perine: Set for expanded role Sunday

Perine is poised to serve as the Bengals' starting running back Sunday against the Titans with Joe Mixon (concussion) ruled out for the contest, James Rapien of SI.com reports.

Geoff Hobson of the Bengals' official site adds that Chris Evans and Trayveon Williams are candidates to see expanded roles with Mixon out of the lineup, but Perine profiles as the top option to replace Mixon as the team's lead man out of the backfield. Sunday, After Mixon's early exit in the Bengals' 37-30 win over the Steelers in Week 11, Perine recorded 11 carries for 30 yards and caught all four of his targets for 52 yards and three touchdowns.

  • James Cook RB | BUF

Bills' James Cook: Two carries, two catches Week 12

Cook rushed twice for four yards and caught two of five targets for 14 yards in Thursday's 28-25 win over Detroit.

Devin Singletary dominated the touches in Buffalo's backfield with 80 scrimmage yards on 14 carries and one catch, but Cook at least maintained the No. 2 role over Nyheim Hines, who touched the ball only once on offense. Barring an injury to Singletary, Cook will have a hard time carving out a meaningful role as a distant third rushing option in a Buffalo offense that relies primarily on Josh Allen's arms and legs.

  • Joe Mixon RB | HOU

Bengals' Joe Mixon: Ruled out for Sunday

Head coach Zac Taylor said Mixon (concussion) won't play Sunday against the Titans, Geoff Hobson of the Bengals' official site reports.

As a result, look for Samaje Perine to lead the Bengals' Week 12 backfield, with Chris Evans and Trayveon Williams available to handle change-of-pace touches. Mixon's next chance to suit up will arrive Week 13, when Cincinnati faces Kansas City at home.

  • Joe Mixon RB | HOU

Bengals' Joe Mixon: Absent from practice Friday

Mixon (concussion) wasn't spotted during the media-access portion of Friday's practice, Ben Baby of ESPN.com reports.

Mixon didn't practice Wednesday or Thursday, so the running back's absence from the early portion of Friday's session doesn't bode well for his chances of playing Sunday against the Titans. If Mixon isn't able to play this weekend, Samaje Perine would be in line to lead the Bengals' backfield. After Perine, the Bengals would have Chris Evans and Trayveon Williams on hand to handle change-of-pace work.

  • Damien Harris RB | BUF

Patriots' Damien Harris: Injures thigh Thursday

Harris, who suffered thigh injury during Thursday's loss to the Vikings, was spotted using crutches following the contest, Chris Mason of The Springfield Republican reports.

Harris -- who carried five times for 16 yards versus Minnesota -- appeared to be in obvious pain in the locker room afterward, which clouds his status for next Thursday's game against the Bills. If Harris ends up missing time, Rhamondre Stevenson would be in line for even more work than usual, while Pierre Strong, Kevin Harris and J.J. Taylor would be the candidates to serve as the top complementary option to Stevenson.
