  • Tony Pollard RB | TEN

Cowboys' Tony Pollard: Left out of offensive outburst

Pollard rushed the ball 12 times for 53 yards in Sunday's 43-20 win over the Rams. He added one reception for two yards.

The Cowboys scored four offensive touchdowns and racked up 387 total yards, yet Pollard contributed little to the showing. He was held to 13 total touches -- his second-lowest mark of the season -- and most concerning was his lack of involvement as a pass catcher. After tallying at least 70 rushing yards in each of his first three games, Sunday's effort marked his highest total in four contests since.

  • D'Andre Swift RB | CHI

Eagles' D'Andre Swift: Grinds out touchdown in tough win

Swift rushed 16 times for 57 yards and a touchdown and secured two of three targets for seven yards in the Eagles' 38-31 win over the Commanders on Sunday.

Swift had to work for every yard against a tough Commanders run defense, with his long gain on the day going for a modest nine yards. However, he was able to turn an ordinary fantasy day into an above-average one with a seven-yard touchdown run late in the fourth quarter off a fake "Brotherly Shove" play in which Jalen Hurts pitched to Swift after faking a sneak. The score snapped a three-game drought for the veteran back, who's also posted multiple catches in five consecutive contests heading into a Week 9 home showdown with the Cowboys.

  • Cam Akers RB | SEA

Vikings' Cam Akers: Scores first Minnesota TD

Akers carried the ball nine times for 19 yards and a touchdown and caught his only target for six yards in Sunday's 24-10 win over the Packers.

While he didn't gain much real estate and saw seven fewer touches than Alexander Mattison, Akers' six-yard TD run in the first quarter was the biggest play either running back made in the game. Both backs could be in line for much more significant roles in the second half of the season, as Kirk Cousins left Sunday's contest with what could be a season-ending Achilles injury. Akers and the running game could be focus of the offense if rookie QB Jaren Hall is under center in Week 9 against the Falcons.

  • Vikings' Alexander Mattison: Shut down in Sunday's win

Mattison carried the ball 16 times for 31 yards and caught his only target for two yards in Sunday's 24-10 win over the Packers.

While his 17 touches topped Cam Akers' 10, it was the latter who punched in a six-yard TD late in the first quarter. Even if Mattison maintains his top spot in the Minnesota backfield, the upside of the whole offense suddenly looks a lot more questionable with Kirk Cousins having potentially suffered a season-ending Achilles injury Sunday. Mattison and Akers could be working with rookie QB Jalen Hall instead in Week 9 against the Falcons.

  • Bijan Robinson RB | ATL

Falcons' Bijan Robinson: First rushing score of career

Robinson rushed the ball 11 times for 62 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 28-23 loss to the Titans. He was targeted five times but did not record a reception.

After receiving only one carry in Week 7 due to an illness, Robinson led the Atlanta backfield with 11 carries. Even with relatively limited opportunity, he made his mark on the game with a long gain of 25 yards as well as a touchdown run of 13 yards -- the first rushing score of his career. With the performance, Robinson topped 50 rushing yards for the second time in his last six games.

  • Commanders' Brian Robinson: Efficient day on 12 touches

Robinson rushed 10 times for 59 yards and secured both targets for 20 yards in the Commanders' 38-31 loss to the Eagles on Sunday.

Robinson was highly effective as a runner and also recorded multiple catches for the fourth time in the last five contests. However, the second-year back's opportunities were limited as the game went on, capping Robinson's overall output. Robinson should be the beneficiary of a more favorable game script in a Week 9 road battle against the Patriots.

  • Chuba Hubbard RB | CAR

Panthers' Chuba Hubbard: Held in check Sunday

Hubbard carried the ball 15 times for 28 yards and caught both his targets for 26 yards in Sunday's 15-13 win over the Texans.

While his numbers weren't impressive, Hubbard led the Panthers in rushing and was the clear top option in the backfield, as Miles Sanders gained zero total yards on just two carries. Hubbard's Week 6 performance against the Dolphins (90 scrimmage yards and a rushing TD) is still the best by any Carolina RB this season, which should give him an edge on retaining the starting job in Week 9 against the Colts.

  • Dalvin Cook RB | DAL

Jets' Dalvin Cook: Just two Week 8 touches

Cook rushed twice for five yards and wasn't targeted in Sunday's 13-10 overtime win over the Giants.

After expressing frustration with his role during the week, Cook was once again used sparingly. Breece Hall was hardly better on the ground with 17 yards on 12 carries, but Hall had 76 yards and the Jets' lone touchdown as a pass catcher. Cook is averaging just 2.8 YPC, and only one of his nine catches this season has gone for a first down, so Cook hasn't done much to earn more touches at Hall's expense.

  • Dolphins' Raheem Mostert: Scores TD with limited opportunity

Mostert rushed 13 times for 46 yards and a touchdown and wasn't targeted in the passing game in the Dolphins' 31-17 win over the Patriots on Sunday.

Mostert turned in a much less efficient effort than usual on the ground and was surprisingly uninvolved in the air attack. However, he posted a serviceable fantasy performance anyhow thanks to his one-yard touchdown rush midway through the third quarter. Mostert still comfortably paced the ground attack in carries despite Jeff Wilson seeing his rush attempts climb to five in his second game of the campaign, and the workload split between the two will bear monitoring in a Week 9 showdown against the Chiefs in Germany.

  • Patriots' Rhamondre Stevenson: Logs 12 touches in loss

Stevenson rushed 10 times for 39 yards and secured two of four targets for 11 yards in the Patriots' 31-17 loss to the Dolphins on Sunday.

Stevenson turned in some serviceable production relative to his amount of opportunities, but New England's ground game wasn't much of a priority as the second half unfolded and the Dolphins began to increase their lead. Stevenson outpaced backfield mate Ezekiel Elliott by three carries, yet neither back figures to have a chance for a true game-breaking performance as long as the passing game continues to mostly be inconsistent and the division of labor in the ground attack is similarly split.
