Tua Tagovailoa QB | ATL
Dolphins' Tua Tagovailoa: Set for MRI, initial scans negative
Tagovailoa (concussion) traveled back with teammates after Thursday's loss to the Bengals and is scheduled for an MRI on his neck Friday, Josina Anderson of CBS Sports reports.
Tagovailoa traveled back with the team while wearing a neck brace, but initial testing revealed that he hasn't suffered any broken bones. Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reported that current indications about the quarterback are positive, while Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald confirmed that Tagovailoa now officially is in the league's concussion protocol and will continue to be monitored closely. Teddy Bridgewater will be in line to start Week 5 versus the Jets if Tagovailoa isn't able to reach full medical clearance over the next 10 days, and there's no question that the 24-year-old's long-term health ought to be Miami's top concern.

Teddy Bridgewater QB | DET
Dolphins' Teddy Bridgewater: Capable in emergency duty Thursday
Bridgewater entered Thursday night's 27-15 loss to the Bengals for an injured Tua Tagovailoa (head/neck) with 5:13 remaining in the second quarter and completed 14 of 23 passes for 193 yards with one touchdown and one interception. He also rushed once for 11 yards.
Bridgewater turned in the type of performance he was essentially brought to Miami for, using his experience to hit the ground running and immediately complete a 16-yard pass to Trent Sherfield that set the Dolphins up for a 52-yard field-goal attempt, which ultimately was blocked. Bridgewater then helmed a nine-play, 75-yard scoring march on his first full possession, capping it off with a seven-yard touchdown toss to Chase Edmonds. Bridgewater subsequently led another 88-play drive that culminated in a field goal and had the offense deep in Bengals territory late down by only five before throwing an interception at the Cincinnati nine-yard line. Tagovailoa was feeling well enough after being evaluated at the hospital to travel home with the rest of the team per Mike Garafolo of NFL Network, but it remains to be seen if Bridgewater will need to make a spot start in his stead in a Week 5 road matchup versus the Jets a week from Sunday.

Joe Burrow QB | CIN
Bengals' Joe Burrow: Another strong effort Thursday
Burrow completed 20 of 31 passes for 287 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions in the Bengals' 27-15 win over the Dolphins on Thursday night. He also rushed five times for six yards.
Burrow had the benefit of improved pass protection for the second time in four days, and his final line is a byproduct of the extra time he had to scan the field. Burrow averaged an impressive 9.3 yards per attempt and was only sacked once, finishing with a quarterback rating of 115.9 for the night. The third-year signal-caller's most productive connection was with Tee Higgins, who recorded seven receptions for 124 yards and a 59-yard touchdown grab down the left sideline in the second quarter. Burrow closed out his strong effort with a two-yard scoring toss to Hayden Hurst with 1:52 remaining to seal the win, and he'll now get some extra down time before an AFC North road showdown against the Ravens a week from Sunday.

Tua Tagovailoa QB | ATL
Dolphins' Tua Tagovailoa: Set to travel back with team
Tagovailoa (head/neck) will be released from the hospital Thursday night and travel back to Miami with his teammates, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
Tagovailoa was transported to the hospital after sustaining head and neck injuries in Thursday's 27-15 loss to the Bengals, but he feels good enough to leave the hospital and board the flight back to Miami. Coach Mike McDaniel said after the game that Tagovailoa has been placed in the concussion protocol, per Adam Beasley of Pro Football Network. Tagovailoa will need to clear the concussion protocol over the next 10 days to be eligible to play in Week 5 against the Jets. Teddy Bridgewater replaced Tagovailoa in the second quarter and proceeded to throw for 193 yards, one touchdown and one interception. Bridgewater will start in Week 5 if Tagovailoa isn't ready to return.

Tua Tagovailoa QB | ATL
Dolphins' Tua Tagovailoa: Transferred to hospital
Tagovailoa has been transferred to University of Cincinnati Medical Center after sustaining head and neck injuries Thursday against the Bengals, Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News reports. He is conscious and has movement in all of his extremities.
Tagovailoa's head hit the ground on a sack in the second quarter and he required a stretcher to leave the field. He was slammed hard into the ground for a second consecutive game, and while Tagovailoa was able to return to last week's win over the Bills, the quarterback has already been ruled out for the remainder of Thursday's game. Teddy Bridgewater came in after Tagovailoa's injury, and Miami also has third-string quarterback Skylar Thompson dressed due to the uncertainty over Tagovailoa's health coming into the game.

Tua Tagovailoa QB | ATL
Dolphins' Tua Tagovailoa: Stretchered off against Bengals
Tagovailoa (back) was stretchered off the field in the second quarter of Thursday's game against the Bengals, Daniel Oyefusi of the Miami Herald reports.
Tagovailoa stayed down after being slammed into the ground on a sack by Josh Tupou. Miami's quarterback came into the game nursing back and ankle injuries, and he hit the ground hard with his back and helmet. Clarification on the nature and extent of Tua's injury will likely come after further testing, but he's unlikely to return to Thursday's game after completing eight of 14 passes for 110 yards and one interception. Teddy Bridgewater replaced Tagovailoa after the injury.

Tua Tagovailoa QB | ATL
Dolphins' Tua Tagovailoa: Suits up Thursday
Tagovailoa (back/ankle) is listed as active for Thursday night's game against the Bengals.
Tagovailoa, who briefly left this past Sunday's win over the Bills, was listed as a limited practice participant on the Dolphins' Tuesday and Wednesday injury reports before being deemed questionable for Thursday's contest. In the absence of any in-game setbacks with either his back or ankle issues, Tagovailoa should be able to maintain fantasy utility Week 4 while helming a Miami passing attack that features dynamic wideouts Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle (groin), who is in uniform versus Cincinnati after also having approached the game listed as questionable.

Justin Herbert QB | LAC
Chargers' Justin Herbert: Logs full practice
Herbert (ribs) practiced fully Thursday.
That Herbert practiced fully Thursday suggests that he's in no danger of missing Sunday's game against the Texans. Friday's injury report will reveal whether the QB heads into the weekend with a Week 4 injury designation or fully cleared to continue to play through his rib issue.

Dak Prescott QB | DAL
Cowboys' Dak Prescott: Officially doesn't practice
Prescott (thumb) didn't practice Thursday, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.
Prescott showed up on the field Thursday without a brace on his right thumb, instead going through the motions with a tape job, according to Calvin Watkins of The Dallas Morning News. During the portion of the session open to the media, Prescott handled some snaps and made some light throws, per Clarence E. Hill Jr. of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, but the activity wasn't enough for the Cowboys to list him as a limited participant. At this point, Prescott seems hard-pressed to be available for Sunday's game against the Commanders, but he told Lorenzo Reyes of USA Today on Monday that he's keying in on a return Week 5 at the Rams, even though Ian Rapoport of NFL Network suggested Thursday that Week 6 in Philadelphia may be the more realistic target for his return. As long as Prescott is sidelined, Cooper Rush will direct Dallas' offense.

Mac Jones QB | SF
Patriots' Mac Jones: Not spotted at practice
Jones (ankle) wasn't spotted during the media-access portion of Thursday's practice, Evan Lazar of the Patriots' official site reports.
Though Jones, who didn't practice Wednesday, reportedly is dealing with a high-ankle sprain, per Mike Reiss of ESPN.com, at this stage the QB isn't counting himself out for Sunday's game against the Packers, Michael Giardi of NFL Network reports. If Jones ends up being ruled out for the contest, however, Brian Hoyer would draw the start at QB for New England versus Green Bay in Week 4.
