  • Daniel Jones QB | IND

Giants' Daniel Jones: Off injury report

Jones (ankle) is not listed on Friday's injury report, clearing him for Sunday's game against the Packers, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

Jones' ankle injury won't prevent him from suiting up Sunday in London, but it could hinder his mobility and thus also limit his fantasy upside. Perhaps more significantly, Green Bay's secondary and defensive line are a difficult matchup, and Jones will be working without wideouts Kadarius Toney (hamstring), Wan'Dale Robinson (knee) and Kenny Golladay (knee). With Tyrod Taylor (concussion) also ruled out, practice-squad member Davis Webb is expected to serve as Jones' top backup.

  • Russell Wilson QB | NYG

Broncos' Russell Wilson: Comes up short in Week 5 loss

Wilson completed 21 of 39 passes for 274 yards with no touchdowns and two interceptions while adding four rushes for 22 yards in the Broncos' 12-9 overtime loss to the Colts on Thursday night. He also fumbled once but recovered and was evaluated for a head injury following his first interception before returning without missing an offensive play, per Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com.

Wilson's final line will show he compiled his second-highest passing yardage total of the season, but the Broncos' inability to score a single touchdown more accurately encapsulates the quality of his performance. After leading Denver to two field goals in the first four possessions, Wilson could only helm one other scoring drive. Additionally, both his interceptions came at particularly costly moments, the first at the Colts' four-yard line early in the fourth quarter and the second coming in the end zone with 2:13 remaining and the Broncos clinging to a 9-6 lead. Wilson's forgettable night would then conclude with an incomplete pass on fourth down at the 2:38 mark of overtime at the end of a six-play, 70-yard march. Wilson doubled his season interception total with the pair of picks, and he and his offensive teammates will now have some extra time to figure out how to snap their season-long funk ahead of a Week 6 Monday night road showdown versus the Chargers on Oct. 17.

  • Mac Jones QB | SF

Patriots' Mac Jones: Remains limited at practice

Jones (ankle) remained limited at practice Thursday.

Back-to-back limited sessions offer hope that Jones could possibly start Sunday's game against the Lions, but at this stage such an outcome is far from a lock, with Andrew Callahan of the Boston Herald noting earlier Thursday that Jones still was walking with a limp during practice due to his sprained left ankle. With Brian Hoyer (concussion) on IR, Bailey Zappe now profiles as the Patriots' No. 2 QB and would fill in as the team's starter this weekend if Jones is unavailable to play.

  • Brian Hoyer QB | LV

Patriots' Brian Hoyer: Headed to IR

The Patriots have placed Hoyer (concussion) on IR, Field Yates of ESPN reports.

Now that Hoyer is slated to miss the next four games, the Patriots approach Week 5 action with Mac Jones iffy with an ankle injury, with Bailey Zappe thus in line to start at QB in Jones' place if he's unavailable Sunday versus the Lions. Meanwhile, Garrett Gilbert is a candidate to be elevated from the team's practice squad in advance of the contest.

  • Jameis Winston QB | NYG

Saints' Jameis Winston: No practice Thursday

Winston (back/ankle) didn't practice Thursday, Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football reports.

Winston has yet to practice since playing all 64 offensive snaps Week 3 at Carolina, when he tossed for a season-high 353 yards. Since then, injury rehab has been his focus as he recovers from four small fractures in his back and an ankle injury. It's unclear if Winston has a chance to suit up Sunday versus the Seahawks, but the Saints will turn to Andy Dalton under center if the former is forced to miss a second game in a row this weekend.

  • Zach Wilson QB | NO

Jets' Zach Wilson: Puts in full practice

Wilson (ankle) was a full participant in Thursday's practice, Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic reports.

Wilson's ability to take every rep during Thursday's session clears up any concern about his status for Sunday's game against the Dolphins, not that there was much concern to begin with. According to Eric Allen of the Jets' official site, offensive coordinator Mike LaFleur suggested Wilson's limitations in Wednesday's practice were precautionary, and the quarterback's return to full activity the next day backed that up. More importantly, Wilson isn't dealing with any setbacks with the knee he had scoped in mid-August, resulting in him missing the Jets' first three games. He completed only 50 percent of his passes last week in his season debut against the Steelers, but Wilson looked comfortable moving about and showed poise while engineering a game-winning touchdown drive in the final minute.

  • Dak Prescott QB | DAL

Cowboys' Dak Prescott: Remains with rehab group Thursday

Prescott was seen gripping a football while working with resistance cords with the training staff during the open portion of Thursday's practice, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports.

According to Jon Machota of The Athletic, Prescott officially went down as a non-participant Thursday, but his ability to hold a football is the new context in his recovery from surgery to repair a broken right thumb. The main impediment for Prescott at the moment is that he's unable to grip and throw a football with high velocity, which is the primary reason Cooper Rush and not Prescott will be under center Sunday at the Rams. Prescott's next chance to play is Week 6 in Philadelphia.

  • Daniel Jones QB | IND

Giants' Daniel Jones: Limited again, but progressing

Jones (ankle) was listed as a limited participant in Thursday's practice, Ralph Vacchiano of Fox Sports reports.

Jones has been limited in the Giants' first two Week 5 practices while he manages a sprained left ankle, but he looks to be making steady progress in his recovery. According to Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com, head coach Brian Daboll said he thought Jones "did well" with the reps he received Wednesday, prompting the Giants to increase his workload in Thursday's practice. The added reps weren't enough for Jones to bump up to full activity, but he'll look to do just that in the team's final practice of the week Friday. The Giants are scheduled to fly to London overnight and hold their final session of the week overseas in advance of Sunday's game against the Packers.

  • Tyrod Taylor QB | GB

Giants' Tyrod Taylor: Still hopeful to suit up in London

Taylor (concussion) was listed as a non-participant in Thursday's practice, Ralph Vacchiano of Fox Sports reports.

Though Taylor has gone down as a non-participant on the Giants' first two Week 5 practice reports and remains in the concussion protocol, the veteran signal-caller seemingly took a step forward Thursday even if his level of activity didn't suggest as much. According to Duggan, Taylor was present for Thursday's practice and was sporting a helmet, and he was later spotted running off to the side. Taylor is seemingly on track to fly with the Giants to London on Friday, though it's unclear if he'll be ready to advance to limited or full activity in the Giants' final Week 5 practice. If Taylor can't clear the protocol before Sunday's game against the Packers, Davis Webb would likely be elevated from the practice squad to serve as the backup to starter Daniel Jones (ankle), who has been limited in the Giants' first two practices but looks to be trending toward playing.

  • Brian Hoyer QB | LV

Patriots' Brian Hoyer: Not practicing Thursday

Hoyer (concussion) remained sidelined during Thursday's practice, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports.

Mac Jones (ankle), who was limited Wednesday, was present for Thursday's practice, but his status for Sunday's game against the Lions has yet to be cemented. Friday's injury report will reveal whether Jones and/or Hoyer will head into the weekend with a chance to play Week 5, but if neither are available rookie Bailey Zappe would be in line to fill in as the Patriots' starting QB versus Detroit.
