Clayton Tune QB | GB
Cardinals' Clayton Tune: Ragged starting debut Sunday
Tune completed 11 of 20 passes for 58 yards with no touchdowns and two interceptions in the Cardinals' 27-0 loss to the Browns on Sunday. He also rushed five times for 28 yards and lost a fumble.
The results were about what was to be expected when throwing a rookie quarterback out for his first start against an aggressive Browns defense, with Tune often looking out of sorts while taking a whopping seven sacks. The 2023 fifth-round pick averaged just 2.9 yards per attempt and saw his first pick lead to a Cleveland touchdown and his second result in a field-goal attempt that was missed. Tune's stint under center is likely to be a one-and-done scenario unless the Cardinals opt to let Kyler Murray's (knee) 21-day practice window close this upcoming week without activating him.

Tyson Bagent QB | CHI
Bears' Tyson Bagent: Picked off thrice in Week 9 loss
Bagent completed 18 of 30 passes for 220 yards with two touchdowns and three interceptions in the Bears' 24-17 loss to the Saints on Sunday. He also rushed eight times for 70 yards and lost a fumble while recovering another.
As has been the case in each of his appearances this season, Bagent certainly had his moments, including as a runner. The undrafted rookie also showed his inexperience on multiple occasions, however, with his first interception leading to a game-tying touchdown for the Saints in the opening period. Bagent did partly make up for the turnovers with 18- and nine-yard scoring tosses to Cole Kmet. It remains to be seen whether Bagent will be called on for at least one more start in a Thursday night Week 10 home matchup against the Panthers or if Justin Fields (thumb) will be ready to return to action in that contest.

Matthew Stafford QB | LAR
Rams' Matthew Stafford: Progressing through thumb sprain
Coach Sean McVay said after Sunday's loss at Green Bay that Stafford (thumb) is "making good progress" as it pertains to gripping a football, "but it wasn't anywhere to where we thought he would be able to go for us" Week 9, Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com reports.
Stafford hasn't logged any on-field work since suffering a sprained UCL in his right thumb last Sunday in Dallas. He ended up being listed as questionable for Week 9 action, but as McVay indicated, Stafford was a long shot to be available in the end. The Rams have a Week 10 bye, so Stafford will have two more weeks to rest up before the team's next game Nov. 19 against the Seahawks. Brett Rypien stepped in for Stafford this Sunday, completing 13 of 28 passes for 130 yards, no touchdowns and one interception, tallying three carries for 19 yards and fumbling twice (one lost).

Baker Mayfield QB | TB
Buccaneers' Baker Mayfield: Solid numbers in crushing defeat
Mayfield completed 21 of 30 passes for 265 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions and rushed four times for four yards in the Buccaneers' 39-37 loss to the Texans on Sunday.
Mayfield averaged an impressive 8.8 yards per attempt and remained free of interceptions for the fourth time this season while throwing a pair of touchdown passes for the second straight game. The 2018 first overall pick connected with tight end Cade Otton for both of his scoring tosses, which came from three and 14 yards out. Mayfield also narrowly missed a third touchdown on a perfectly thrown 53-yard pass early in the third quarter to Mike Evans on which the receiver was ultimately determined to be down at the one-yard line on replay review. Mayfield appeared to have led the Bucs to victory with his second touchdown to Otton with 46 seconds remaining before C.J. Stroud capped off a record-setting day with his own late scoring march for the Texans. Mayfield and his teammates will aim to atone for the disappointing loss in a Week 10 home matchup against the Titans.

Daniel Jones QB | IND
Giants' Daniel Jones: Goes to locker room
Jones (knee) went to the locker room during the second quarter of Sunday's game in Las Vegas, Tom Rock of Newsday reports.
Jones' right knee collapsed on him twice in the span of a few plays across the first and second quarters. After paying a visit to the sideline medical tent, he was spotted walking slowly to the locker room, but he at least didn't need a cart or any assistance from the team's medical or training staffs to do so. While Jones is sidelined, Tommy DeVito will direct the Giants offense.

Brett Rypien QB | MIN
Rams' Brett Rypien: Struggles in start
Rypien completed 13 of 28 passes for 130 yards and an interception in Sunday's 20-3 loss to the Packers. He also rushed three times for 19 yards and lost a fumble.
Rypien had a rough showing while filling in for the injured Matthew Stafford (thumb). Not only did the Rams' offense not score a touchdown, but Rypien turned the ball over twice, including an interception with the game close to begin the fourth quarter. Rypien could return to his backup role if Stafford is cleared to play following Los Angeles' bye week.

Daniel Jones QB | IND
Giants' Daniel Jones: Hurts knee Sunday
Jones suffered a right knee injury during Sunday's game at Las Vegas, Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports.
In a series of plays spanning the first and second quarters, Jones' right knee collapsed twice as he dropped back. He then needed assistance to get to the sideline, where he received medical attention. The nature and severity of the injury aren't known, but Tommy DeVito entered the contest in place of Jones.

Sam Howell QB | DAL
Commanders' Sam Howell: Tops 300 yards in win
Howell completed 29 of 45 passes for 325 yards, one touchdown and one interception in Sunday's 20-17 win over New England. He added five rushing attempts for 27 yards.
Howell threw for 176 yards in the first half but had an ugly interception in the end zone on 1st-and-goal in the final seconds before halftime, leading to a 14-10 halftime deficit. He threw a 33-yard touchdown to Jahan Dotson to tie the score at 17 apiece in the third quarter. Howell moved the offense effectively and averaged 7.2 yards per pass while Patriots quarterback Mac Jones had just 220 yards on 44 pass attempts (5.0 Y/A). After throwing for 300-plus yards only once in his first eight NFL starts, Howell has hit that mark in each of his last two outings heading into a Week 10 trip to Seattle.

Mac Jones QB | SF
Patriots' Mac Jones: Another clunker in Week 9 loss
Jones completed 24 of 44 passes for 220 yards, one touchdown and one interception in Sunday's 20-17 loss to the Commanders. He added three rushing yards on three attempts.
Jones had Tyquan Thornton open but missed him on fourth down to end New England's opening drive in Washington territory. After failing to produce any points in the first quarter, Jones bounced back with a 14-yard touchdown pass to Hunter Henry in the second to put the Patriots on the board. Outside of that throw, Jones was largely inaccurate and inefficient, as he tied his season low with just 5.0 yards per attempt. Despite those struggles, Jones had New England in range for a game-tying field goal at Washington's 41-yard line but was picked off with 30 seconds left to end it. After this putrid performance, calls for Bailey Zappe to replace Jones under center could renew as the 2-7 Patriots prepare to face the Colts in Frankfurt in Week 10.

C.J. Stroud QB | HOU
Texans' C.J. Stroud: Sets rookie record in wild win
Stroud completed 30 of 42 passes for 470 yards with five touchdowns and no interceptions while adding a 10-yard two-point conversion run in the Texans' 39-37 win over the Buccaneers on Sunday. He also committed a fumble that was recovered by Houston.
Stroud's yardage tally was a new NFL rookie single-game record, and the second overall pick fittingly accomplished the feat on an improbable six-play, 75-yard game-winning drive in the final 45 seconds of the contest. Stroud hit Tank Dell for a 15-yard game-winning touchdown pass with six seconds remaining to cap off the march, a play preceded by a perfect 26-yard sideline throw to the rookie wideout. As his final numbers indicate, Stroud eviscerated the Buccaneers pass defense throughout the afternoon, and he connected with Nico Collins (14 yards), Noah Brown (75 yards), Dell (29 yards) and Dalton Schultz (nine yards) for his other four scoring tosses. Stroud's record-setting afternoon also marked his fifth multi-touchdown game of what is turning into a ROY-worthy campaign, and he'll next set his sights on an intriguing Week 10 road matchup versus the Bengals.
