Jake Bates K | DET
Lions' Jake Bates: Successful on lone FG try Week 17
Bates made his only field-goal attempt and his only extra-point try in Thursday's Christmas Day loss to Minnesota.
Minnesota's defense mostly stymied Detroit's offense, capping Bates' kicking opportunities. He did make a 48-yard field goal with under five minutes remaining in the game to end with a tolerable fantasy score. Bates is 23-for-29 on FG attempts and 53-for-55 on PATs on the season.

Jake Moody K | WAS
Commanders' Jake Moody: Converts all three FG attempts in loss
Moody went 3-for-3 on field-goal attempts and 2-for-2 on point-after tries Thursday in a Week 17 loss to Dallas.
Moody's first two field goals were relative chip shots, coming from 29 and 23 yards out. However, he came through on a big 51-yarder with just over two minutes remaining in the game to keep the Commanders' hopes of a comeback alive. Moody remains almost perfect since making his Washington debut Week 13, going 9-for-9 on FG tries and 7-for-8 of PATs. Moody's 51-yarder Thursday was his first FG make of 50-plus yards this season.

Brandon Aubrey K | DAL
Cowboys' Brandon Aubrey: Nails three FGs in Christmas win
Aubrey made three of four field-goal attempts and all three extra-point tries in Thursday's 30-23 win over Washington.
Aubrey's first field goal was a 42-yarder just before halftime. He then made a 52-yarder and a 51-yarder in the second half, though he also missed a 58-yard attempt early in the fourth quarter. Despite that miss, the big-legged kicker continued to show his almost limitless range -- he's now 11-for-16 on FG tries from 50-plus yards this season, including 3-for-4 from 60-plus yards.

Matt Prater K | BUF
Bills' Matt Prater: Deemed DNP in Wednesday walkthrough
Prater (quadriceps) was labeled as a non-participant in Wednesday's practice walkthrough.
Prater missed Buffalo's win over the Browns this past Sunday while dealing with a quad injury. Coach Sean McDermott said Tuesday that it's unclear if the veteran kicker will be able to return Sunday versus the Eagles, and his DNP status for Wednesday's walkthrough doesn't provide much insight in that regard. If Prater is unable to play against Philadelphia, Michael Badgley would likely handle kicking duties again.

Joshua Karty K | ARI
Cardinals' Joshua Karty: Catches on with Arizona
The Cardinals signed Karty off the Rams' practice squad Tuesday, Darren Urban of Arizona's official site reports.
Karty lost out of the Rams' kicking job after missing five of 15 field-goal attempts through the first eight games of the season, but the 23-year-old converted a more palatable 79.6 percent of his attempts through his first two NFL campaigns. The Rams thought enough of Karty to stash him on their practice squad once he cleared waivers in late November, but the Cardinals will bring him aboard and see if he can provide an upgrade over Chad Ryland. Expect the two to compete for the Cardinals' kicking duties throughout Week 17 prep in advance of Sunday's game in Cincinnati, after Ryland missed field-goal tries of 50 and 44 yards in a Week 16 loss to Atlanta.

Chad Ryland K | ARI
Cardinals' Chad Ryland: Job on notice
Ryland is facing competition for the Cardinals' kicking job heading into Sunday's game at Cincinnati after Arizona signed Joshua Karty off the Rams' practice squad Tuesday, Darren Urban of the team's official site reports.
Ryland converted field goals at an 87.5 percent clip in 2024, but the third-year kicker has seen his performance take a step back this season. After missing field-goal tries of 50 and 44 yards in this past Sunday's 26-19 loss to the Falcons, Ryland has now knocked down just 23 of 31 attempts through 15 games in 2025. Ryland is set to be a restricted free agent this offseason and hasn't made a strong case to be retained, so the Cardinals could see if Karty can provide an upgrade at the position over the final two weeks of the campaign.

Matt Prater K | BUF
Bills' Matt Prater: Status murky for Week 17
Head coach Sean McDermott said that Prater (quadriceps) won't take part in Tuesday's unofficial walk-through practice, and the Bills don't yet have clarity regarding whether the veteran kicker will be available for Sunday's game agains the Eagles, Sal Capaccio of WGR Sports Radio 550 Buffalo reports.
Through the first 15 weeks of the campaign, Prater had been serving as Buffalo's kicker after Tyler Bass sustained a hip/groin injury late in the preseason to ultimately required season-ending surgery. Prater has performed capably while knocking down 18 of 20 field-goal tries and 43 of 46 extra-point attempts, but he emerged from a Week 15 win over New England with a quad injury that he's yet to fully move past. The Bills signed Michael Badgley to the practice squad and elevated him to the roster to handle kicking duties in the Week 16 win over the Browns, with Badgley nailing a 41-yard field goal but missing one of his three point-after tries.

Blake Grupe K | IND
Colts' Blake Grupe: Makes all five kicks in MNF loss
Grupe made both of his field-goal tries and all three PATs in Monday night's 48-27 loss to the 49ers.
Grupe's field goals were good from 39 and 51 yards, and he's now a perfect 7-for-7 on field goals and 5-for-5 on extra points across three games with the Colts after struggling through 11 contests with the Saints earlier this season.

Eddy Pineiro K | SF
49ers' Eddy Pineiro: Makes eight kicks in MNF win
Pineiro converted two of three field-goal attempts and all six PATs in Monday night's 48-27 win over the Colts.
The Niners scored on seven of their first eight possessions versus Indianapolis, with the only unsuccessful drive being a missed 64-yard field goal from Pineiro as time expired before halftime. Pineiro's two makes were good from 25 and 38 yards. Through 12 games this season, Pineiro is 27-for-28 on field goals and 28-for-32 on extra points. His 96 percent success rate on field goals leads the league.

Ben Sauls K | NYG
Giants' Ben Sauls: Returns to practice squad
Sauls reverted to the Giants' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log.
After waiving Younghoe Koo on Tuesday, the Giants turned to Sauls to serve as the starting kicker against the Vikings on Sunday, when he made both of his field-goal attempts from 27 and 39 yards while nailing his lone point-after try. Sauls will likely be elevated to the Giants' active roster ahead of their Week 17 tilt against the Raiders.
