Eagles' Jalen Hurts: Struggles again in Week 5 loss
Jalen Hurts completed 21 of 40 passes for 220 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 19-17 loss to the Jaguars. He added two rushing yards on two carries and lost one of two fumbles. It was another sluggish effort from the Philadelphia Eagles' offense, and the only play longer than 19 yards that they managed on the day was a 62-yard TD from Hurts to Darius Cooper in the second quarter. Even so, the QB appeared to engineer a game-winning field goal drive inside the final two minutes of the fourth quarter, only for Jake Elliott to give Ameer Abdullah a returnable kickoff with eight seconds left on the clock which he took back to the Philly 39-yard line -- setting the stage for a game-winning Cam Little field goal. Hurts will take an 8:3 TD:INT and rough 57.8 percent completion rate through five games into a Week 6 meeting with the Panthers.

Eagles' Jalen Hurts: Modest numbers without top targets
Jalen Hurts completed 12 of 27 passes for 93 yards and two touchdowns while rushing five times for 18 yards in Sunday's 24-20 loss to the Rams.Hurts threw second-quarter touchdowns of 18 and 10 yards to Darius Cooper in the second quarter, the first of which went off the hands of Rams defender Quentin Lake in the end zone. The Philadelphia Eagles started the game without DeVonta Smith (hamstring) and Dallas Goedert (knee), lost Saquon Barkley (hamstring) in the first quarter and went a franchise-worst 0-for-12 on third down, yet they were still in position to win with a 10-point lead and the ball inside the Rams' 10-yard line halfway through the fourth quarter. Hurts failed on attempts to score with his legs and then his arm as that drive ended in a turnover on downs, and the Rams stormed back with two touchdown drives while the Eagles failed to pick up a first down on their final two drives. Hurts could struggle to produce again in Week 5 against the Jaguars in London if the Eagles remain without some of their key skill players.

Eagles' Jalen Hurts: Forgettable night in loss
Jalen Hurts completed 16 of 25 passes for 153 yards with no touchdowns and one interception while rushing four times for 25 yards and a touchdown in the Philadelphia Eagles' 27-7 loss to the Bears on Monday night.Hurts scuffled through the air as much as his final suggests, averaging a modest 6.1 yards per attempt while taking a pair of sacks. The star signal-caller also absorbed a big hit on the sideline at the end of a two-yard scramble shortly before the midway point of the second quarter, and he missed four plays while undergoing a concussion check he subsequently passed. Hurts led the Eagles to their only points upon checking back in for the following possession, one he capped off with a one-yard touchdown run as time expired in the first half. That would prove to be the highlight of an otherwise forgettable night, and Hurts is averaging a modest 206.7 passing yards per game while carrying a 5:3 TD:INT into a Week 4 home showdown against the Rams on Sunday.

Eagles' Jalen Hurts: Overcomes two picks against Titans
Jalen Hurts completed 26 of 37 passes for 264 yards and two touchdowns with two interceptions in Sunday's 24-20 win over Tennessee. He added 16 yards on five carries. Both picks led to points for the Titans, including a fourth-quarter field goal that put the home side up 20-17 with less than two minutes left. Hurts atoned for his mistakes, however, leading a nine-play, 65-yard drive that was capped by a three-yard TD strike to Darius Cooper that won the game. Hurts has already thrown five touchdowns in two games after tossing a career-high 25 in 16 regular-season contests in 2025, and he'll look to keep that momentum going in a Week 3 road trip to Chicago.

Eagles' Jalen Hurts: Tosses three TDs in Week 1 win
Jalen Hurts completed 14 of 25 pass attempts for 203 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions in Sunday's 24-22 win against the Commanders. He added seven carries for 46 yards on the ground.Hurts wasn't particularly efficient, but he made big completions when needed, including a 17-yard connection with Dallas Goedert in the second quarter, a nine-yard TD pass to Dontayvion Wicks later in the same period and another scoring pass to Goedert -- this time a 43-yarder -- in the fourth. Hurts also boosted his fantasy total on the ground with 46 yards, which was well above his average during the regular season last year. Hurts is playing in a new offense this season, and the veteran QB's Week 1 results were mostly promising. The Philadelphia Eagles should be a heavy favorite next Sunday against a Tennessee team that struggled mightily in a Week 1 loss to the Jets.

Eagles' Jalen Hurts: Excited about new offense
Philadelphia Eagles general manager Howie Roseman said Tuesday that Jalen Hurts has "embraced" the new offense and is "excited about it" headed into the season, John Clark of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports."I think Jalen's adjusted really well to the new offense," Roseman said. "Now again, we're at a moment in time, we haven't played a game. This isn't in reference to Jalen; this is in reference to anything else. I think that a lot of the things that we'll do during the regular season when we have game plans, I think from an offensive perspective, they're going to be different than what we've done in the past. Jalen's embraced it. He's excited about it and obviously we've got to be better than we were last year." Hurts struggled with interceptions during training camp and didn't see any action during the preseason, so Week 1 against the Commanders will provide his first actual game action under new OC Sean Mannion. The 28-year-old Hurts is expected to once again be in the mix as a top-five fantasy quarterback after setting a new career high with 25 touchdown passes over 16 regular-season games in 2025 to go along with a career-best 1.3 percent interception rate. His rushing numbers fell off however, as he punched in just eight touchdowns after averaging 14 over the previous three seasons, and his 421 rushing yards represented his lowest total since he was a rookie in 2020.

Eagles' Jalen Hurts: Beginning to gel with Wicks
Jalen Hurts has started to establish a good rapport with offseason addition wide receiver Dontavion Wicks at training camp, Geoff Mosher of PhillyVoice reports.Hurts has long been a target of criticism when it comes to his passing ability, and with the departure of A.J. Brown in the offseason, he will have to prove himself with some new faces in the wide receiver room this season. The Philadelphia Eagles acquired fourth-year pro Dontayvion Wicks from Green Bay in April, and Wicks has emerged as the frontrunner to operate as Philadelphia's No. 2 WR in 2026. Hurts and Wicks spent some time together off the field during the offseason, which Wicks credited as a driving force for how the two players have so quickly found alignment in a short time at camp. With DeVonta Smith (hamstring) currently sidelined, Hurts will have the opportunity to lean on Wicks as his de facto No. 1 option as the team's preseason opener approaches Saturday in Baltimore.

Eagles' Jalen Hurts: Working with new-look WR corps
As the coming season approaches, Jalen Hurts is slated to work with a dramatically different wide receiver corps, Glenn Erby of USA TODAY reports.A.J. Brown, who led the Philadelphia Eagles with 121 targets in 2025, was traded to the Patriots earlier this month, but prior to that previously speculated move, Philadelphia proactively added depth to a WR corps that is slated to led by returnee DeVonta Smith. The most notable moves in that regard were adding Makai Lemon in the first round of this year's draft, in addition to trading for Dontayvion Wicks and signing Hollywood Brown and Elijah Moore in free agency. During the 2025 regular season, Hurts recorded 3,224 passing yards and a 25:6 TD:INT to go with 421 rushing yards and eight TDs on the ground (on 105 attempts) in 16 contests, numbers that kept him relevant from a fantasy perspective. Looking ahead, Hurts' upside in 2026 is largely tied to how well he adapts to working in new offensive coordinator Sean Mannion's system, as well as how things shake out in terms of the team's collective approach to replacing Brown.

Eagles' Jalen Hurts: Struggles in wild-card loss
Jalen Hurts completed 20 of 35 passes for 168 yards and a touchdown while rushing five times for 14 yards in Sunday's 23-19 wild-card game loss to the 49ers.Hurts connected with Dallas Goedert for a nine-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter, but Philadelphia's offense turned the ball over on downs from San Francisco's 21-yard line with 43 seconds left in the fourth quarter when a Hurts pass intended for Goedert fell incomplete. Philadelphia's offensive inconsistencies persisted throughout the season and came back to bite the Philadelphia Eagles in the playoffs. Hurts threw for 3,224 yards and a 25:6 TD:INT to go with 421 rushing yards and eight rushing touchdowns in 16 regular-season games prior to Sunday's loss, which dropped his career playoff record to 6-4. He remains locked in as the Eagles' starting quarterback while playing on a five-year, $255 million contract signed in April of 2023.
