  • The Seahawks acquired Nelson from the Colts on Tuesday in exchange for a 2027 third-round draft pick and a 2028 fifth-round draft pick, Adam Schefter and Ian Rapoport of ESPN report. After a 2-5 start to the season, the Colts already found themselves on the periphery of the AFC playoff picture and opted to cash out on the eight-time Pro Bowl left guard before he became an unrestricted free agent this offseason. In Seattle, Nelson will join 2025 first-round pick Grey Zabel to form one of the NFL's better guard tandems. The Seahawks are hoping that the addition of Nelson can help open up more running room for a ground attack that has averaged just 3.9 yards per carry through the first seven weeks of the season.

Nelson (wrist) does not carry an injury designation for Monday's game against San Francisco. Nelson was limited in practice due to a wrist issue ahead of Week 16 action, but the standout left guard will be available for Monday night's matchup. The 29-year-old will operate as a pillar of Indianapolis' offensive line, as usual, versus the 49ers.

  • Nelson (wrist) was limited in practice Friday. Nelson popped up on the injury report Friday. The wrist injury doesn't appear to be related to anything suffered in last Sunday's loss to Seattle, as he played all 60 snaps on offense in Week 15. The 29-year-old still has another practice opportunity Saturday ahead of Monday night's matchup against the 49ers.

Nelson (toe) is active ahead of Sunday's game against Los Angeles, George Bremer of the Colts' official site reports. Nelson was held out of practice earlier in the week with a toe injury, but it seems as if he'll play through the issue this Sunday. The All-Pro guard has been an ironman in the NFL, missing only three total games throughout his six-year career.

  • Nelson (toe) did not participate at the Colts' practice Wednesday, James Boyd of The Athletic reports. Nelson was able to play through the toe injury in Week 3 versus the Ravens, so his absence Wednesday isn't a huge concern. He'll look to return to the practice field ahead of Sunday's matchup with the Rams.
