Titans' DeAndre Hopkins: Limited practice participant

Hopkins (knee) was a limited practice participant Wednesday, John Glennon of NashvillePost.com reports.

The Titans haven't said much about Hopkins since Aug. 18, when head coach Brian Callahan told reporters he expected the wideout to be ready for Week 1. Hopkins suffered a knee strain at the end of July that carried a reported recovery timeline of 4-to-6 weeks, and it's still best to view him as uncertain for the season opener at Chicago this Sunday. Progression to full practice participation Thursday or Friday would erase most of the doubts surrounding his status.
