Texans' Robert Woods: Unlikely to play vs. Tampa Bay

Woods (foot) didn't practice Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Adam Schefter of ESPN reported over the weekend that Woods was expected to miss 2-to-3 weeks with the foot injury he carried into the Texans' Week 7 bye, and that recovery timeline still appears to be an accurate one. After sitting out the Texans' Week 8 win over the Panthers, Woods once again appears likely to be inactive for Sunday's game against the Buccaneers, though the Texans haven't officially ruled the veteran receiver out for the Week 9 contest just yet. Official confirmation of Woods' status should come with the release of the team's final Week 9 injury report Friday, but it would be surprising if he managed to practice in any capacity before then. If Woods remains sidelined, Nico Collins, Tank Dell and Noah Brown should continue to play significant roles in a Houston offense that predominantly utilizes three-receiver sets.
