Rivers (undisclosed) was placed on Houston's injured reserve on Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Rivers was waived-injured by the Texans on Tuesday and he cleared waivers, making him eligible for IR. It's unclear what his injury is, but he'll have plenty of time to recover now that h's done for the season.
