Ross is expected to start in place of injured cornerback Kamari Lassiter (shoulder) in Sunday's game against New England, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Ross, who was elevated from the practice squad Week 2 and signed to the active roster a week later, has served strictly as a special-teams contributor through his first four games. He's recorded 13 tackles and no passes defensed over 20 games through his first three NFL seasons.
