An MRI has confirmed that Texans featured back Arian Foster tore his right Achilles tendon in the Sunday loss to the Dolphins, per the Houston Chronicle.
Bill O'Brien acknowledged Monday that Foster is out for the rest of the season, with the report further noting that he's on track to undergo surgery and presumably headed for injured reserve.
In his absence, the Texans will turn to some backfield combinbation of Alfred Blue and Chris Polk, with Jonathan Grimes in the mix to a lesser degree. Of the three, we suspect that Blue is most likely to get the first chance to head the committee.
