Penning (toe) is active for Sunday's game against the Seahawks.
Penning missed the first two games of the season due to a toe injury that he suffered during the Saints' preseason opener against the Chargers. He was a limited participant in practice this past week, and he's progressed enough in his recovery to make his regular-season debut Sunday, when he'll start at left guard.
