Hightower caught two passes for 34 yards and added 21 yards on eight carries in Sunday's loss to Denver.

Hightower was quiet for much of the game, save for a 23-yard snag that set up the Saints' second touchdown. The Broncos have had trouble against pass-catching backs, but the Saints seldom went to that well. Sunday was a bit of a crash back down to earth for Hightower, who averaged 25.5 touches and 102 yards per game over the past two weeks, but it'd be too early to fret. Mark Ingram, who Hightower is splitting touches with, touched the ball just three more times than Hightower and averaged 4.8 yards per touch as compared to Hightower's 5.5. It's possible that the game simply dictated fewer looks for the backfield and so don't let the outcome influence future confidence in the veteran.
