Redskins running back Roy Helu "seems to have the edge" in the competition for No. 2 back this season, reports the Washington Post.
The report says the Redskins have used him in a variety of ways – standard run plays, option pitches and as a receiver out of the backfield – to take advantage of his speed and catching ability.
Helu could open the season playing behind Alfred Morris.
