The Patriots elevated Miller from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports.
The Patriots needed more depth at wide receiver after the team ruled out A.J. Brown (knee/ankle) for Sunday's game against the Dolphins. Miller played in each of the Dolphins' first five games of the regular season before being cut by the team Oct. 13. He could see some snaps on offense while working as the WR4 behind DeMario Douglas, Efton Chism and Kyle Williams.
