King (coach's decision) is inactive but will serve as the emergency third quarterback against the Buccaneers on Sunday, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports.
King has been the Panthers' emergency QB3 behind Bryce Young and Kenny Pickett all season, and that trend will continue Sunday. As such, King is prohibited from seeing the field unless both Young and Pickett exit the game due to injury, illness or ejection.
