Detroit signed Firkser on Friday.

In a corresponding transaction, the Lions waived tight end Zach Horton. With fellow veteran tight end Tyler Conklin (knee) on the PUP list, Firkser could get a good chance right away to prove he's worthy of a depth role in 2026.
