Chiefs' Marquise Brown: May miss some time

Head coach Andy Reid said Brown suffered the same injury to his left shoulder in Saturday's preseason game versus Jacksonville that former Chiefs receiver Tyreek Hill sustained during the 2019 season, Sam McDowell of The Kansas City Star reports.

In the case of Hill, he missed Weeks 2 through 5 in 2019 due to a sternoclavicular dislocation that required a reduction under anesthesia, per Matt Derrick of ChiefsDigest.com. If Brown follows a similar path as Hill, his recovery timeline could threaten his odds to play Week 1. With Rashee Rice's availability up in the air due to legal woes as well, the Chiefs may enter the upcoming campaign with a receiving corps composed of Xavier Worthy, Justin Watson, Skyy Moore and Kadarius Toney (back).
