Toney (hip) won't practice Thursday, Matt McMullen of the Chiefs' official site reports.
Toney -- who was inactive for the Chiefs' Week 16 defeat to the Raiders -- also missed Wednesday's session, so his status for Sunday's game against the Bengals looks cloudy at the moment. If Toney remains sidelined for a second straight game this weekend, Richie James would likely serve as his primary replacement on offense as a slot receiver/gadget player after he hauled in three receptions for 54 yards on three targets in the loss to Las Vegas.
