Williams rushed 11 times for 43 yards and caught all nine of his targets for 101 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 41-14 rout of the Raiders.
If you simply look at the rushing stats, Williams' night was nothing to write home about; it was the 26-year-old's work as a receiver that made waves. The nine receptions and 101 receiving yards were both new career highs for the fourth-year pro. Clyde Edwards-Helaire (knee) resumed practicing this week, but he was not activated off of injured reserve despite being eligible. This does open the door for the Chiefs' original starting tailback to return next week against the Cowboys, but Williams' strong play when called upon (621 combined yards and five touchdowns) this year could keep him involved in the offense regardless.
