Buccaneers' Trey Palmer: Diagnosed with concussion

Palmer won't return to Sunday's game against the Eagles due to a concussion, Brianna Dix of the Buccaneers' official site reports.

Palmer was serving as the Buccaneers' No. 3 wide receiver Week 4 with Jalen McMillan (hamstring) sidelined, but the former now will be subject to the protocol for head injuries in order to play again. Palmer was productive in his complementary role, as he finished with three receptions for 26 yards and a touchdown and added a 14-yard kickoff return and five-yard punt return. With a short turnaround for Thursday's road matchup with the Falcons, Palmer will be hard-pressed to gain clearance from an independent neurologist for that contest. Kameron Johnson and Sterling Shepard will be the backup WRs behind Mike Evans and Chris Godwin for the rest of Sunday's outing.
