Hillman (quad) rushed 21 times for 102 yards and caught his only target for two receiving yards Sunday against the Bears.
Hillman has now reached the 100-yard mark three times this season, though he still doesn't have a firm stronghold on the backfield, as C.J. Anderson rushed 12 times for 59 yards and caught both of his targets for 13 receiving yards. One major difference Sunday was that Brock Osweiler, starting in place of the injured Peyton Manning (foot/ribs), took a vast majority of his snaps from under center, as opposed to Manning who constantly worked out of the shotgun or pistol formation. Hillman had previously indicated that he doesn't like running out of those formations, and it was clear Sunday that he is more productive when the quarterback is under center. The two will continue to share touches, though Hillman will get the first opportunities, and if he plays well, will get a majority of the carries. Up next is a Week 12 matchup against the Patriots, who came into Sunday allowing the second-fewest rushing yards per game this season.
