Evans rushed four times for 18 yards and brought in all three targets for 49 yards and a touchdown in the Bengals' 34-11 win over the Lions on Sunday.
The rookie saw extended opportunity with Samaje Perine sidelined for Week 6 due to his residency on the reserve/COVID-19 list, and he made good use of his seven touches. The highlight of Evans' afternoon was his 24-yard scoring grab down the left sideline in the first quarter, which served as both the Bengals' first points and the 24-year-old's first career touchdown. Evans' four carries were also the first of his career, and perhaps Sunday's encouraging effort will allow him to carve out a bigger role in the offense moving forward.
