  • Cam Spencer SG | MEM

Grizzlies' Cam Spencer: Starting vs. Sacramento

Spencer is in the Grizzlies' starting lineup against the Kings on Saturday.

Spencer has come off the bench in each of the first five games of the regular season, but he'll get his first start of the 2026-27 campaign Saturday due to the absence of Ty Jerome (back). Spencer is averaging 8.6 points, 3.6 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 2.0 threes and 0.8 steals over 18.0 minutes per game.

  • Timberwolves' Joan Beringer: Starting Saturday

Beringer will start Saturday against the Spurs, Jack Borman of Lockedon Wolves reports.

Beringer will draw the start with Rudy Gobert (back) out, making him an intriguing plug-and-play option in daily fantasy leagues. Beringer can struggle with foul trouble, and he'll have a tough matchup against San Antonio, but he can rack up the rebounds and defensive stats when given the opportunity.

  • Ty Jerome PG | MEM

Grizzlies' Ty Jerome: Ruled out Saturday

Jerome (back) won't play in Saturday's game versus Sacramento, Chris Herrington of The Daily Memphian.

Jerome has played of late while battling a nagging back injury, though it will finally force him to miss his first game of the 2026-27 campaign. With Scotty Pippen (back) also sidelined, Cam Spencer is the favorite to start at the one.

  • Grizzlies' Scotty Pippen: Won't play against Sacramento

Pippen (back) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Kings, Chris Herrington of The Daily Memphian reports.

Pippen is working through a back injury and will end up missing his first game of the regular season. He is averaging 16.0 minutes per game off the bench, and that playing time will be absorbed by Cam Spencer, GG Jackson and Jerami Grant. Pippen's next opportunity to play is Monday against the Pelicans.

  • Quinten Post C | MEM

Grizzlies' Quinten Post: Won't play Saturday

Post (ankle) has been ruled out for Saturday's game versus Sacramento, Chris Herrington of The Daily Memphian reports.

Post was listed as doubtful, and now we have official confirmation that he'll be on the inactive list Saturday night. His minutes will likely be divvied up amongst Isaiah Stewart and Taylor Hendricks.

  • Spurs' Stephon Castle: Cleared to play versus Minnesota

Castle (illness) is listed as available for Saturday's game against Minnesota.

Castle popped up on the injury report due to migraines, but he is good to go for Saturday's meeting with the Timberwolves. He has had a quality year thus far, averaging 17.4 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1.4 steals (all career highs) along with 5.4 assists over 31.0 minutes per contest in five regular-season games in 2026-27.

  • Clint Capela C | HOU

Rockets' Clint Capela: Heading back to bench Saturday

Capela is not listed in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against Oklahoma City, Will Guillory of The Athletic reports.

Capela started in Friday's 116-111 loss to the Mavericks. However, with Alperen Sengun (back) returning from a two-game layoff, Capela will move back to the bench.

  • Marcus Smart PG | HOU

    Rockets' Marcus Smart: Starting Saturday

Smart will start Saturday against the Thunder, Will Guillory of The Athletic reports.

Smart is getting the start with both Fred VanVleet (rest) and Reed Sheppard (back) out, and he'll be joined in the first unit by Amen Thompson, Kevin Durant, Jabari Smith and Alperen Sengun. Per 36 minutes this season, Smart is averaging 12.7 points, 3.9 assists, 1.1 triples and 2.8 steals per game.

  • Rudy Gobert C | MIN

Timberwolves' Rudy Gobert: Won't play Saturday

Gobert (back) is out for Saturday's game against the Spurs, Dane Moore of 'The Dane Moore NBA Podcast' reports.

Gobert will miss his first game of the season Saturday, which could result in Joan Beringer getting the start and Trey Lyles could see a bump in minutes. For now, Gobert should be considered questionable for Monday's meeting with Milwaukee.

  • Trail Blazers' Scoot Henderson: Nets 14 points with three swipes

Henderson finished with 14 points (4-11 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 5-6 FT), three rebounds, one assist and three steals over 31 minutes during Saturday's 112-90 victory over the Jazz.

Aside from his four turnovers, Henderson played well in his first start of the season, providing a scoring punch for Portland while doing a nice job of disrupting passing lanes. Ja Morant (hamstring) will miss at least the next four weeks, so Henderson should be locked in as a starter for Portland. He's someone to consider grabbing off the waiver wire.
