Devin Booker SG | PHO
Suns' Devin Booker: Nets 13 points in 16 minutes
Booker recorded 13 points (4-7 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 4-4 FT), three rebounds and three assists over 16 minutes in Monday's 109-107 preseason loss to the Pistons.
Booker was limited to the first half of play in the Suns' first preseason game, but he looked good in his limited minutes and finished with a plus-18 differential. He did a nice job running the offense and was aggressive with his shot selection, so he looks all set up for another big season as the main man in Phoenix.

Newell put together an impressive showing off the bench, as he shot the basketball with efficiency and crashed the glass for a team-high 12 rebounds. The Georgia product is in the mix for an increased role heading into the 2026-27 campaign, and Monday's performance will certainly help his case.

Ziaire Williams SF | LAL
Lakers' Ziaire Williams: Drawing preseason start
Williams will start Monday's preseason game against the Kings, Khobi Price of The California Post reports.
The Lakers will be without Austin Reaves (ankle) and Collin Sexton (lower body) Monday, and Jake LaRavia will come off the bench, paving the way for Williams to start. The 25-year-old is competing with LaRavia for a starting role this season, so Monday will serve as an important audition for Williams.

Matisse Thybulle SF | LAL
Lakers' Matisse Thybulle: Starting preseason opener
Thybulle will start Monday's preseason game against the Kings, Khobi Price of The California Post reports.
The Lakers will be without Austin Reaves (ankle) and Walker Kessler (finger) in their preseason opener, so the club will start Luka Doncic, Quentin Grimes, Ziaire Williams, Kevon Looney and Thybulle. The defensive-minded swingman is competing for a starting spot ahead of the regular season.

OG Anunoby PF | NY
Knicks' OG Anunoby: Nets 12 points with six boards
Anunoby contributed 12 points (3-7 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 6-6 FT) and six rebounds over 14 minutes in Monday's 120-97 preseason loss to the 76ers.
The Knicks' starters were only available for the first half of Monday's exhibition, but Anunoby looked good in his limited floor time, and his six boards were a team high. Anunoby was a third-round producer last season with averages of 16.7 points, 5.2 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 2.3 triples, 1.6 steals and 0.7 blocks per contest, and he should see similar production as he enters his age-29 season.
