  • Bennett Stirtz PG | OKC

    Thunder's Bennett Stirtz: Starting Tuesday

Stirtz will start in Tuesday's preseason game against the Pelicans, Justin Martinez of The Oklahoman reports.

Stirtz is getting the start with Jalen Williams, Cason Wallace and Alex Caruso all sitting out Tuesday's exhibition. Stirtz played well for the Thunder at Summer League, so it'll be interesting to see what he can do against tougher competition in the preseason.

  • Jared McCain SG | OKC

Thunder's Jared McCain: Starting against Pelicans

McCain will start in Tuesday's preseason game against New Orleans, Justin Martinez of The Oklahoman reports.

With the Thunder sitting their usual starters, McCain will start versus the Pelicans. The 22-year-old appeared in 30 regular-season games for Oklahoma City during the 2025-26 campaign, averaging 10.4 points and 2.1 rebounds over 18.0 minutes per contest.

  • Ajay Mitchell PG | OKC

    Thunder's Ajay Mitchell: Starting Tuesday

Mitchell is in the starting lineup for Tuesday's preseason matchup with the Pelicans, Justin Martinez of The Oklahoman reports.

The Thunder are holding out all five of their usual starters for Tuesday's preseason opener. Joining Mitchell in the first unit for Tuesday's exhibition will be Jared McCain, Bennett Stirtz, Kenrich Williams and Aday Mara.

  • Aday Mara C | OKC

Thunder's Aday Mara: Starting preseason opener

Mara is in the starting lineup for Tuesday's preseason game against the Pelicans, Justin Martinez of The Oklahoman reports.

The Thunder are resting several key rotation members, meaning Mara will get the nod at center. The rookie was the 12th overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft and will battle Jaylin Williams for the backup center role behind Isaiah Hartenstein, so a strong preseason will be key to winning that gig.

  • Liam McNeeley SF | CHA

    Hornets' Liam McNeeley: Starting Tuesday

McNeeley is starting Tuesday's preseason opener against the Nets.

McNeeley is filling in for the injured Brandon Miller (leg) on Tuesday. He's looking to carve out a meaningful Opening Night role off the Charlotte bench.

  • Hornets' Dennis Schroder: Starting versus Brooklyn

Schroder will start in Tuesday's preseason game against the Nets.

Schroder will roll with the first five in Tuesday's meeting against his former team. The veteran most recently appeared in 30 regular-season games for Cleveland in 2025-26, averaging 8.2 points, 2.3 rebounds and 4.3 assists over 24.2 minutes per contest.

  • Grayson Allen SG | CHA

Hornets' Grayson Allen: Starting sans Knueppel

Allen is starting Tuesday's preseason opener against the Nets.

Allen is filling in for the injured Kon Knueppel (hamstring) on Tuesday. He's also auditioning for a starting job in the event that Knueppel can't suit up for Opening Night.

  • Keon Ellis SG | BKN

Nets' Keon Ellis: Starting sans Brown

Ellis is starting Tuesday's preseason opener against the Hornets, C.J. Holmes of the New York Daily News reports.

The veteran swingman is getting the nod in the absence of rookie Mikel Brown (ankle) on Tuesday. Ellis could be ticketed for a bench role once Brooklyn is healthy, though.

  • Thunder's Jaylin Williams: Sitting out Tuesday

Williams (heel) won't play in Tuesday's preseason opener against the Pelicans, Clemente Almanza of USA Today reports.

Williams is sitting out the first leg of this back-to-back set with heel soreness. Wednesday's tilt against the Bucks is his next chance to play.

  • Ayo Dosunmu PG | MIN

Timberwolves' Ayo Dosunmu: Comes off bench Monday

Dosunmu finished with five points (2-5 FG, 1-2 3Pt) and three rebounds across 13 minutes in Monday's 116-97 preseason win over Milwaukee.

Dosunmu wasn't in the starting lineup Monday night. Instead, it was Jonathan Kuminga who started alongside LaMelo Ball, Anthony Edwards, Rudy Gobert and Jaden McDaniels. The 26-year-old was traded by the Bulls ahead of last season's deadline. In 34 regular-season games with the Timberwolves, including nine starts, Dosunmu averaged 14.4 points, 4.2 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.0 steals over 28.9 minutes per contest. It's possible Dosunmu will earn some starts during the 2026-27 campaign, and though he might come off the bench routinely, he should remain a stable fantasy contributor.
