Dorian Finney-Smith PF | ATL
Hawks' Dorian Finney-Smith: Resting Saturday
Finney-Smith (rest) is out for Saturday's exhibition against the Pacers, Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports.
The 33-year-old veteran won't suit up for Saturday's exhibition, but he should be back in action for Monday's preseason game against the Thunder. Finney-Smith will provide some emergency depth at the forward spots for the Hawks, but he's not expected to have a significant role in the rotation while the team is at full strength.

Cam Christie SG | LAC
Clippers' Cam Christie: Will start sans Strus
Christie will start Saturday's preseason game against the Raptors, Ohm Youngmisuk of ESPN.com reports.
With Max Strus (foot) sidelined, Christie is getting the first crack as the starting shooting guard. He's come off the bench in each of his first 68 regular-season games, so his new role may take some time to get used to.

Tyrese Haliburton PG | IND
Pacers' Tyrese Haliburton: Won't play Saturday with right ankle injury
Haliburton will not play in Saturday's preseason game against the Hawks due to a right ankle injury, Tony East of Forbes.com reports.
Haliburton tweaked his right ankle during the Pacers' preseason game against the Timberwolves on Wednesday, when he played 16 minutes and finished with seven points, six rebounds, two blocks and one steal in a 123-112 win for Indiana. The good news for Haliburton is that his ankle issue is not related to the Achilles injury that caused him to miss the entire 2025-26 season. His next chance to play is Tuesday against the Thunder.

Brook Lopez C | LAC
Clippers' Brook Lopez: Starting Saturday
Lopez is in the starting lineup for Saturday's preseason matchup with the Raptors, Ohm Youngmisuk of ESPN.com reports.
Head coach Tyronn Lue will use the preseason to find what groups mesh best, so a strong showing from Lopez on Saturday would help his case for a starting role. As a starter last season, Lopez averaged 10.8 points, 4.9 rebounds, 1.8 triples and 1.3 blocks per contest on 45/37/74 shooting splits.

Alex Sarr C | WAS
Wizards' Alex Sarr: Will make preseason debut Saturday
Sarr (right foot) will play in Saturday's preseason game against the Pistons, Josh Robbins of The Athletic reports.
Sarr underwent a procedure in mid-June to repair a fracture in his right foot, and he's progressed enough in his recovery to make his preseason debut Saturday. He'll likely operate under a heavy minutes restriction, but it's a positive sign to see the third-year big man on the floor before the 2026-27 regular season commences.

Bittle (foot) has been ruled out for Saturday's exhibition game against the Clippers, Michael Grange of Sportsnet.ca reports.
Bittle has been working through a foot injury since at least early September. The Raptors have four preseason games left, but it's unclear whether Bittle will suit up for any of those games or whether he'll be available for the team's regular-season opener against the Bulls on Wednesday, Oct. 21.
